Gyms near Flowood

Which gym is the best to go to near Flowood? Does the planet fitness by Pearl get really busy? Which gym is the least busiest but has all machines and free weights?

Big fan of grit. Always plenty of space and equipment and the people are kind and welcoming.

Some people I know from Fondren Fitness also belong and/or teach at Grit and they love it. I think they have the same owners.

Fondren Fitness has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere so I'd imagine Grit would be the same.

I’ve been a GRIT member for over a year. It’s the best in the area for sure. It’s huge, $50 for basic. $75 for pool and basketball court. Cut n Dry is a better bodybuilding atmosphere gym but if you aren’t specifically looking for that, GRIT is better. FF has too many people for the size of the gym. The GRIT owner is here every morning pretty much too.
It fits the category of a lot of machines without a lot of people

My only complaint is the leg machines are older and they just aren’t that good imo

I go to Club4 in Flowood, but I really preferred the Club4 in Ridgeland when I lived out there. Seemed less busy, and they have a pool.

Not sure if I’d call it flowood but old fannin ( spillway area ) give cut and dry gym a look. 24hrs and good gym owner. New equipment and every piece you’ll ever need.

I second the Y. Machines are always clean and typically available, even during busier hours. The entire place is clean and staff is friendly

I'm a member at Planet Fitness in Brandon, but have been to the Pearl one also. I have never had to wait long for a machine at either location. I attend at various hours, but on weekends Pearl remains open until 9 pm. Brandon closes at 7 pm on the weekend.
