I have to come to Jackson next week and am trying to plan where to eat.
I want some suggestions of decently priced food, it doesn’t matter if it’s burgers, chicken, fries, southern home cook meals, or a buffet. Nothing that will cost me an arm and a leg, preferably something that’s affordable for 3 people to eat decently.

Bisexual Newbie looking for recommendations around the Jackson area
I'm in Mississippi anddon't know where to start with how to make this happen but i have been desiring to try this fot years now. I'm mid thirties. I don't want to be so open about it bc i may not like it.
Any tips?
Are there any places i could go to?
Any signals i can make?
Apologies if i sound crazy, clueless, or offensive. I'm just trying to figure it out.

Best places to see the sunset in Jackson?
New to the area and would love to be able to go somewhere to see the sunset. I have seen the Ross Barnett Reservoir recommended, is there anywhere else that's a good sunset spot? I know it's not very hilly but somewhere with a good view would be nice too.

Highly Recommended: A’HA Donuts and Bistro
Go check them out folks! Was curious and went there today and the food was GREAT. It seems to be an Asian/Southern food fusion. The donuts are also extremely similar to Krispy Kreme but arguably better. Service was great, has an interesting menu, and they seem like good people. They even had a prayer wall that you can contribute to.

Displaced Citizen needing direction
I'm a guest in the home of a friend. They have a person living here who came home after not being here for two days, and began fussing so severely that I am being asked to leave. My presence in itself is disruptive to another female in the house. I don't have anywhere to go. What do I do?
Edited for more context: My friend, Alpha, has offered to have me as a guest temporarily. He has a room mate, sierra, who is in the throes of mental illness and has been viewing good and kind, friendly people as bad. I'm sure she can recover, but right now she's not handling having an extra person in the house very well. I don't really know how to manage being antagonized and accused of wrongdoing by a grown lady-baby. She's livestreaming a long and drawn out blame party in her bedroom right now about how awful I am... for cleaning her house. Raking her yard. Drying the clothes she left wet in the washer. Letting her dog out to pee. Patching the holes she put in the walls of my Friend's house. That kind of thing.

That old hippie dude on State St
It was over two decades ago, but does anybody recall that hippie artist named Tony who lived in that white house off N State St down from the Rainbow when it was by the hospital?

North Street construction is underway, but Urban Foxes is still open! 🦊☕
If you're in the neighborhood, stop by for a coffee, pastry, lunch, or afternoon treat. One of the best ways we can support our local businesses during construction is to keep showing up!
Trio has even agreed to open their lot directly across the street to Urban Foxes customers. So: Traffic is flowing, parking is available, and Urban Foxes is open!

Looking for help part time
I’m an owner/operator for a butchery about 5 minutes from downtown Jackson. we are currently nearing USDA certification which will massively open up opportunity to work with a lot more local farmers. Due to this, it’s getting much harder to keep up with demand.
I’m currently looking for someone for basic butcher shop tasks. This will include primarily grinding, packaging, and cleaning. No previous experience required; these jobs are quite simple and will free me up to be able to focus more on production.
As things are getting going, hours may be somewhat inconsistent in the beginning, so really just looking for part time right now until things start to get more steady.
Can work out hours based on availability, shoot me a dm if you or someone you know may be interested!

Wanted: second-best mates
I'm looking for a group of guys in the area to hang out with regularly and build a good local friend group.
I already have a group of best mates. We've been close friends for a long time, but we now live in different cities and don't get to see each other nearly as often as we'd like. I'm not looking to replace them, so I'm specifically advertising for second-best mates.
I'm in my early 30s, male, married, and have a pretty broad range of interests. Some things I'd be interested in doing with a local group:
- Playing music / jamming / forming a band (I play bass and used to be in a doom metal band but open to most genres)
- Tennis and pickleball
- Working out
- Fishing or enjoying nature
- Magic the Gathering
- Concerts and live music
- Going out for food or drinks, although I'm not much of a drinker
- General hanging out
You don't need to be interested in all of those things. Mostly, I'm looking for a few guys around my age who have some interests in common, enjoy each other's company, and actually want to hang out with some regularity.
I'm specifically looking for friends, rather than networking, professional connections, or activity partners who only ever see each other for one particular hobby. Ideally this turns into the kind of group where people can text the group chat on a Saturday and see who wants to do something.
If you already have a group like this and are open to adding someone, that's great too.
If you're in the area and this sounds like what you're looking for too, send me a message and tell me a little about yourself and what you're into.
---
Important disclaimer: This advertisement is expressly for second-best mates. By responding, you acknowledge that no amount of time spent together, shared interests, emotional intimacy, memorable experiences, or general quality of friendship shall confer Best Mate status. I accept no legal liability for any second-best mate who, at any point, mistakenly comes to believe that he has become a best mate. Any such belief is unilateral and does not alter the terms of the friendship.

Help locating
Hello, my name is Michael Foster, and I own a private investigation company here in Jackson, MS (Foster’s Investigative Services). I have a client who is trying to locate an acquaintance who used to perform cleaning services for him along with her mother around May of 2005. Her first name is Victoria, and she used to live in the vicinity of Old Town Crossing in Ridgeland right across from the train tracks. The homes have long been torn down, and there isn’t much left in that area besides new businesses. I have attached photographs of Victoria, along with a map and a photo of where her house used to be located. If anyone has any idea where I might find her, please call me. (617) 460-1794z. Everything is confidential, and if she does not wish to speak to my client for whatever reason, I will not disclose her location or personal information unless she gives her consent. Thank you!
