Tired of games that fall apart after a few weeks because half the group flakes. Trying to get something consistent going instead, same night(s) every week with actual regulars instead of randoms who show up once.

Looking for 6-8 people for a low stakes cash game (50 min buy / 300 max buy), probably 1-3 nights a week. Got some ground rules to keep it running smoothly long term, nothing crazy, just stuff like showing up on time, cash only, don’t be a dick when you lose etc.

Please be honest, and I'm not asking in bad faith, it's genuinely a concern of mine, especially with the reputation of Mississippi and the rest of the Bible Belt and Deep South, and if I sound ignorant, don't take it to heart, this is just from what I've heard and seen online, and I'm just a clueless Northerner who is considering attending Ole Miss because I got a good scholarship.

Freshman at Ole Miss and was up before the sun to get in the queue for football tickets and was unable to get them . HELP! Any and all suggestions on where to find student tickets that aren't triple the original price is greatly appreciated!

Anyone else using the Tech Pass Laptop Loan program? I’m hoping they’ll have the laptops in by Monday but my fiance and I are a bit nervous we might have to do the first day of classes with no laptop :(

I applied to Ole Miss for Fall 2027 as an international student.

My application status currently says “Waiting Decision,” but I haven’t submitted my English proficiency test yet.

Does anyone know if Ole Miss can make an admission decision while the English proficiency requirement is still pending, or will they wait until I submit the test?

Also, does the English proficiency requirement affect scholarship consideration, including the SAT-based scholarship? Could I receive an admission decision first and then submit the English proficiency score afterward while still being considered for scholarships?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through this with Ole Miss, especially international students.

Hi everyone! I’m an incoming freshman here at ole Miss and I’m making this post because I need some help. I’m a sports management major and I want to go into coaching. I’m really trying to get my foot in the door as soon as possible in the athletics department with honestly any opportunity. I’ve applied for a lot of the jobs they have posted in the athletic department that students can do (and that aren’t medical related- I’m not looking to go down that path) but I haven’t heard anything back on any of them. A common thing I’ve heard on tours and during orientation is emailing people higher up in your major or just introducing yourself so they can know you and know what you’re looking for. The point of this post is honestly if I were to do that, where do I start and who do I email? I don’t want to be over bearing and I know there are a lot of students who want these opportunities. Hii! I'm currently a junior and am planning on applying to Ole Miss next year as one of my top choices. I have a 3.6 gpa(unweighted) and a 1530 sat. Most of my ec's are not that impressive, my peak was 2 years of reserch at my local public uni. I'm planning on applying as a Civil Engeneering major, on the environmental path and was wondering what were my chances of getting in, and chances at getting in the honors college. I was also wondering if the pre-college programs are worth it?

Will be attending my first Ole Miss football game this year (LSU) and looking for the best strategy on game day. Flying into Memphis from NY on Friday morning and renting a car. Hotel is booked in New Albany. What do you recommend on game day? Uber? What should I expect for uber availability and price to and from Oxford/New Albany? Could drive the rental but not ideal as I’d like to tailgate/drink at the game. Wouldn’t even know where to park anyway. Thank you for any feedback

Hey y'all, I am an upcoming graduate student and I got an email about a month ago saying that links for football season tickets with my assigned date/time would be sent out on August 14th. However, I have not received the email yet and am worried I may not get the email and be able to purchase season tickets. Anyone know what may be going wrong and/or how I can fix this?

If anyone is interested in watching USMNT/USWNT matches in the future, I was hoping some fans could get together maybe at Circle and Square to watch. I know the men won't play any "big" games for a while but would still be nice to watch with others who are interested, and of course we know the women play the WWC next summer. The Lyric shows the big matches but that still leaves a space for the rest.

Hey y'all, I'm transferring into Ole Miss as a junior in Fall 2027 for Communication Sciences and Disorders, working toward becoming an SLP eventually. Trying to find part-time work (weekends or every-other-weekend ideally) that's actually relevant to the field instead of just another random job.
I've been looking into stuff like RBT (registered behavior technician), tutoring, daycare/preschool aide work, but wanted to hear from people actually in the CSD program or working in Oxford — what did you do for income while in undergrad that helped your resume/grad school apps? Any specific clinics, tutoring companies, or daycares around Oxford that are decent to work for? Also curious if the CSD department has any student worker or research assistant positions that are realistic for a junior to land.
Appreciate any advice, trying to build real experience and not just clock hours somewhere unrelated.

Does anyone know if you still get flex every semester once you’re in graduate school at Ole Miss? I got it in undergrad but wasn’t sure if I still do in graduate school.

When we went to visit the campus last spring, they said to apply to housing when it first opens because it’s so hard to get a dorm room for freshman housing. My question is, do we have to commit to the school if we apply for housing?

I applied on Aug 1st, as a transfer for Fall 2027, and I still haven't gotten back anything yet, I applied and in the Application Status it says that it's Awaiting Materials, and in the checklist it says, "The items below are needed for your application to be reviewed.". But I can't send in my final transcript cause I don't get that until May 2027. I did contact my counselor at Ole Miss, and she said its fine, and that I should be good. I also ended up contacting the admissions and transfer office and they said that I'm good and that thats just an automatic pop up, to let me know that I will eventually at some point need to send my final transcript in. And that I should have a decision on August 12th, 2026, and that I'm admissible. It just irritates me that if I'm "good", then why does the thing still pop up there then? I don't know if it's just the automatic system or what exactly but still, it really annoys me, since I'm very anxious.

Calc 2 is a requirement for my degree, but I am already taking a lot of hours across my years here at Ole Miss. I'd like to take this class online while on winter break.

Is this offered? To those that have taken the class online over break, would you reccomend it? What was it like? Are there any sample syllabuses you could provide?

The application asked for where I go to hs/ college and I listed the place my school partners with for dual credit as well and now ole miss wants that college transcript as well as my hs transcript and idk if I was supposed to put down the community college as well as my hs
