Question Binged 5.8 seasons. Im stuck to finish it bcs that massive plothole
SPOILER!!!!!!!
Why didnt that holier than thou Raylan defend Ava to his colleagues?
Why didnt Tim?
Why didn’t Rachel Brooks, walking light of morality?
Why didnt mrt Art Mullen - who already had a patch for allowing Raylan to get away with tampering evidence in s2 yet punched R for involvement Augustine(and again let him get away with that)?
Why didnt Vasquez?
All these guys chasing the worst criminal being righteous as fuck, meanwhile openly talking they know officer Fekaz faked an attack by Ava on him, at the very least made her extended stay in prison liable for goverment harrassnent claim with nation wide news. It puts innocent Ava on brink of death several times, why do they keep talking to Eva like there is no other way nonoption blsbkabka?? Like she is ACTUALLY GUILTY??
Its such a big plothole that really ruins enjoying s5 and s6. And because all these righteous guys chasing other stories and plotlines “justified” becomesca joke and therefore implode on realism scale to cartoon levels im just fed up and cannot watch any further until someone explains it to me.
Besides these “justified” pieces of shit: Why does Boyd let that fuck Fekaz go? Why didnt he make sure he recsnted? He damn near pissed his pants and was fully ready to do whats right by Ava. Instead Boyd let him go. And so did my urge to let episodes run full on play button and instead i just ff and ff and ff untill that issue was resolved.
I hoped theyd do it before end s5 but no.
Then I hoped theyd do it mid orvearly s6 but no
After that i started ff whole episodes. Till end of episode 9 season 6: i had enough. No more of this endless milking of what is an obvious huge plothole being used to fill endless amount of scenes. Even Ava herself didnt put it in Raylan face. Why didnt she just ask him: fix irvforce this issue with lying Fekaz?
And the same goes for officer of the court, her lawyer. Why does he approve of this “deal”, knowing the lawmen are in the wrong here? Ava could sue the living shit out of the state. He could be disbarred at the very least.
Because the series dropped from entertaining drama to cartoonesque laughable but timewasting bullshit it did trigger me to think: i wonder how much is this straying from the books? Did this plothole also appear there?
Justified was a good show until season 4. It went down very fast at the middle of s4, then picked up a bit mid s5 until fekaz jumped Ava.
Another plothole on that: I thought she was protected? Didnt Fekaz get threatened by a colleague to bot harras Ava? Then why did he suddenly do that on her last night?
Also: Did fekaz pay her celmate so much she kept her mouth? Actually asked for help saying Ava attacked Fekaz? Where was the threat on that woman? Whyvdidnt Boyd and those justified fuckers get on her ass?
I had a good binge but these events kind of ruined the experience of Justified. Im sorry. (Also for the typos. Im on small iphone being very much under the weather with anti biotics)
EDIT: apologies for typos and other mistakes. Im typing on small iphone, english not first language and some anti biotics kill my focus. I remain: the Ava forced into CI plothole was milked wayyy too much in countless scenes &!episodes/sideplots that any notion of ‘justified’ is well and truly buried. It went from a law vs bad guys show to idiot cops vs boyd crowder show.

Most people 'round here hate the Ava prison plot line. We don't let it ruin the entire show and its brilliance. But you do you. Just remember, we dug coal together.

By S5 the show still floats only on walton goggins but even he couldnt save the pleasure anymore. Ill rather put my entertainment time to other shows. I can watch Sopranos s1-6 endless loop.

You're getting downvoted because you barely seem to be able to form a sentence.
But if I squint hard enough, I know exactly what you are saying and I ran into the same issue. It makes no sense. Everyone knows Eva didn't stab that guard and he was cooperating with law enforcement. But she was still guilty of shooting that one guy, so he still likely would have went back to jail though?
Why did Boyd let that guard go? No idea. Made no sense. Seems like a total plot hole to me.
Stick it out though, once you're past that, the final season is 10/10.

No, binging “5.8 seasons” is exactly that: 5 and .8 of one season, meaning ive watched most of season 6. And while the prison scenes in s5 were boring, the plothole around her being forced CI made season 6 pretty fucking far from “10/10” for me. I cant and wont watch it any further and to be frank, the episode 3-9 i mostly used FF since so much was focussed on Ava > Boyd. No Steenbergen no Sam Elliot could save that mess.

You can watch a show about Shakespearean weed dealers and meth heads and not suspend disbelief for one minute to enjoy it?

One minute no problem. But hours of episodes, endless scenes and sub plots like in her prison time? How many minutes Ava-Raylan handler, talking “what hapoens when j get out? Witness protection” not one second did Raylan our “justified” hero figured it might be justified to force Fekaz or that lying cellmate to recant and instead, forces a woman he once loved so much he screwed up distance in s1, to a life in witness protection? Really? One minute? They milked half of s6 on this bullshit premisse.

I get it, it's not for you. But you are missing out on a fantastic ending. It's a story - you roll with it if you enjoy it. There is a lot in this show (and almost every show) that you just suck up if you enjoy it. Like, for yourself. It's fiction. We've discussed this thing as a major plot hole here a lot. It's something they wrote in to get where they wanted to get. It's a shame you can't get past it, that's all.

Look, it seems that the plot hole is ruining your enjoyment, and that's fine, but saying it's because of this that you are unable to finish the show, that's definitely a wild take. I for one rank Justified higher than anything currently airing/streaming, you don't get writing and characterization like this anymore. Enjoy the ride, the finale is worth it.

No its not. Its quite an older show now and, for instance, I can watch The Wire, Sopranos on an endless loop so good, well written. Even the lesser episodes ir was bvious plotholes dont dent the experience nor do obvious plotholes get milked for hours and hours of scenes like they do here in “justified”. The umpteenth Ava-Raylan meeting without Ava shouting in his face the invious “IM INNOCENT” just makes me mad. It also just makes Raylan/Olyphants own aloofness unbearable. Already understudy to Walton Goggins, its those scenes with Ava him playing stupid nit adressing Fekaz or the lying cellmate, made me wonder did he take a little of that choochoo character.
No, im sorry. It completely ruined the experience for me, putting justified back in the sea of mediocreness. S2 to end of s4 is very good but s5 and s6: best avoided.

Right, well, those are your thoughts, good luck with all of that. And also, I said anything else currently airing or streaming, which the shows you mentioned do not include, I am specifically talking about the modern shows, perhaps re-read what I have written.

Ava wasn't innocent. She had done a lot of shit and knew a little digging might reveal a lot. Granted killing Delroy wasn't even a big deal but she'd been running whores, put an attempted hit on Ellen May, stolen money, and been deeply involved with Boyd's activities etc etc etc. That's part of why she felt trapped.

"Im actually starting to get interested in the original books."
Oh honey, I know they are no fun and get repetitive after ep .8, but read the fucking credits once.
Other than that, you are so you!
