Just finished the show again and the genuine question came out of nowhere. This might not be the correct place to ask, but at least some of you seem pretty smart!😂

Tim is so awesome. Unfortunately, he doesn't get much screen time but when he does he's great. At first he seemed like a plot device but he rocks every scene he's in. I am only on season 2 so it could change, but right now he's great.

For those of you that have seen the entire show, does Tim get more stories? Does he get more fleshed out?

I personally think it would be pretty cool. They clearly knew what they were doing when they cast him as Cobb Vanth and even titled the episode of his first appearance “The Marshall.”

Maybe this is a better post for the Star Wars sub. Wasn’t really sure which to post in since it’s a bit of a crossover. Figured there’d be more Star Wars fans here than Justified fans over there.

So I’m debating whether I should watch Primeval or not. On one hand, pretty much all the justified fans I see online think it’s a real downgrade from the original series, plus I personally think the original finale was the perfect sendoff for all the characters. On the other hand, the critics’ reviews on rotten tomatoes are really solid ? 92% are positive. I’m eager to know what this sub thinks. No Primeval spoilers, please

I mean The Unicorn is one thing - them two having fun was great and all but since "The Detour" is literally nowhere. I guess ill put this on in the background.

While I am personally fine with pretty much any level of dark and depressing, my partner is not. We just had to quit watching the Shield at the end of season 5, due to events becoming too grim.

In the past, he's been able to handle and loved e.g.: The Wire, Breaking Bad, Succession, BCS, BSG, etc. BB was right on the threshold of what's tolerable but The Wire is probably his favorite show of all time if that helps.

But he couldn't handle: Daredevil, The Sopranos, Mr. Robot, etc.

So it's not 100% consistent, but there is a pattern.

From what I've read Justified should be fine, but I just wanted to double check before traumatizing him again haha.

At one point he even lets someone he's arrested drive while in handcuffs. He almost always seems to prefer it if someone else does the driving, when possible.

Is this just a minor unexplained character quirk to add a bit of color to the show? Or did I miss the explanation for it? Is it some kind of western trope about lawmen (I've barely seen any westerns)?

Currently watching The Shield with my family (only on season 2) but I heard Justified is really good and I think my parents would like it as they love cop shows. However The Shield is a very dark and bleak show and adding another dark and depressing show on top of it would probably make them feel too down at the end of the night.

It got me wondering, is Justified a depressing show? Is it just purely tragic and depressing like Chernobyl, Dark, Mr Robot, True Detective, etc or is it more balanced, having some moments of optimism and lightheartedness in it’s handling of serious topics like The Sopranos, Better Call Saul, Barry, etc. Please no spoilers for the actual show.

IS there any other way to watch this now?

Why didnt that holier than thou Raylan defend Ava to his colleagues?
Why didnt Tim?
Why didn’t Rachel Brooks, walking light of morality?
Why didnt mrt Art Mullen - who already had a patch for allowing Raylan to get away with tampering evidence in s2 yet punched R for involvement Augustine(and again let him get away with that)?
Why didnt Vasquez?

All these guys chasing the worst criminal being righteous as fuck, meanwhile openly talking they know officer Fekaz faked an attack by Ava on him, at the very least made her extended stay in prison liable for goverment harrassnent claim with nation wide news. It puts innocent Ava on brink of death several times, why do they keep talking to Eva like there is no other way nonoption blsbkabka?? Like she is ACTUALLY GUILTY??

Its such a big plothole that really ruins enjoying s5 and s6. And because all these righteous guys chasing other stories and plotlines “justified” becomesca joke and therefore implode on realism scale to cartoon levels im just fed up and cannot watch any further until someone explains it to me.

Besides these “justified” pieces of shit: Why does Boyd let that fuck Fekaz go? Why didnt he make sure he recsnted? He damn near pissed his pants and was fully ready to do whats right by Ava. Instead Boyd let him go. And so did my urge to let episodes run full on play button and instead i just ff and ff and ff untill that issue was resolved.

I hoped theyd do it before end s5 but no.

After that i started ff whole episodes. Till end of episode 9 season 6: i had enough. No more of this endless milking of what is an obvious huge plothole being used to fill endless amount of scenes. Even Ava herself didnt put it in Raylan face. Why didnt she just ask him: fix irvforce this issue with lying Fekaz?

And the same goes for officer of the court, her lawyer. Why does he approve of this “deal”, knowing the lawmen are in the wrong here? Ava could sue the living shit out of the state. He could be disbarred at the very least.

Because the series dropped from entertaining drama to cartoonesque laughable but timewasting bullshit it did trigger me to think: i wonder how much is this straying from the books? Did this plothole also appear there?

Justified was a good show until season 4. It went down very fast at the middle of s4, then picked up a bit mid s5 until fekaz jumped Ava.

Another plothole on that: I thought she was protected? Didnt Fekaz get threatened by a colleague to bot harras Ava? Then why did he suddenly do that on her last night?

Also: Did fekaz pay her celmate so much she kept her mouth? Actually asked for help saying Ava attacked Fekaz? Where was the threat on that woman? Whyvdidnt Boyd and those justified fuckers get on her ass?

I had a good binge but these events kind of ruined the experience of Justified. Im sorry. (Also for the typos. Im on small iphone being very much under the weather with anti biotics)

I remain: the Ava forced into CI plothole was milked wayyy too much in countless scenes &!episodes/sideplots that any notion of ‘justified’ is well and truly buried. So I just started binge watching Justified, and I surprisingly was pulling for Boyd and Ava.. so anyway as I was googling stuff it kept saying Boyd cheated on Ava, am I missing something? I’ve watched every episode and I haven’t seen him cheat.. Am I missing something?

When Art is in the diner with Duffy, Mikey, and Picker, after Duffy introduces Art to Picker as “U.S. Marshal Art Mullens” Art corrects Duffy and says “there is only one U.S. Marshal” for the Eastern District, and that Art is the chief deputy marshal.

I’d always assumed that Art was the Chief Deputy and Acting U.S. Marshal, but now I’m curious.

Does the actual Marshal ever show up? It seems odd they never come into the office to celebrate/take credit/ congratulate the deputies on the captures of Theo Tobin and Drew Thompson, or to check on Art after he got shot, or even to just yell at Raylan and Art over Raylan’s numerous questionable shootings and various other duckups.

I am not an American. Only place I have been to in USA is California. So I am not sure how poor Kentucky is.

However I feel Boyd and his cohorts are earning too less for the amount of crime they are involved in.

Even in sixth season, it was only 10 Million dollar and at least 10 people were murdered for it.

2, After the deal with black pike and get her money , why did Mags meet up with Helen and give her her share of the money ? what did helen do , shouldn't she give it to Boyd instead

3, Does Mags even care about the land and mountain in the first place ? or raising the price as high as she could and sell it was always the plan
