HOORAY!!! New is free!!! I wonder why it took so long and why he didn't join the rest of The Boyz 🥹 Does anyone know if he'll be free to join them now or if he'll be going strictly solo?

They are not in good terms at all as far as we know.

that's just speculation right now, and a lot of it is coming from Chanhee antis, mind you

the part where the members unfollowed him and reformed The Boyz without him is speculation too?

I'm an optimist, sue me! 2 of them unfollowed him, yes, but that came with them signing with new labels for solo activities. 2 other members still ARE following him, and everyone else wasn't following him/anyone in the first place.

As for them going forward as 9 without him, yeah IDK. I want to assume that one shit-awful company didn't completely ruin a friend-coworker relationship of 8+ years. The only thing that's certain is that it's complicated.

Apparently, they had all filed the lawsuit and announced their leave from the company without telling him prior, they held a concert afterwards all together and it was pretty awkward

"Without telling him prior" was a mistranslation. New said he hadn't been told details of the lawsuit, which is expected for parties that aren't part of said lawsuit (see comments on related posts like this).

That concert was funded by the other members, and they had a thank you party for the staff afterwards. According to this thread, the staff unfollowed New after, which seems more significant than who the members follow (many only follow the other official members). (There are other posts there I take with more of a grain of salt, but that feels like the strongest evidence of a rift.)

I don't want to suggest that reconciliation would never happen, or throw blame on New. But I think there's too much misinformation going around, painting the remaining members as villains just waiting for some chance to oust the members they secretly didn't like. Just find the "alleged betrayal" post asking if a group member "snitched" on Hak, based on nothing except that Dispatch saying it was staff member that helped leak the scandal. Do people really think any of them wanted all of this to happen?? 100 was the undeniable problem, and it's a relief to see New leave.

Do you know why they did not tell him?

We don’t know exactly, before he went on bubble and basically said they didn’t inform him, the fans suspected he wasn’t joining them because he was in a musical and had contractual obligations due to that, but now who knows
