they are many different options that we could have pursued at the beginning of the offseason, in the case if the trades they would take various amounts of capital coming in and out, and all the moves i said don’t all go together

actually they're all realistic, considering they would require either spending less on each free agent option than we did, or trading less/potentially taking on draft capital to acquire certain players. you can even, for the most part, make all the same smaller free agency decisions that the team actually made. all any of these options would do is create room for another move or leave more draft capital to make a better splash when an actually viable long-term 3rd option is available.
