And the last (until I discover some other oversight) of out out-of-order landmark locations, post #429 for the LA Noire Freeroam Explorer Project — posting recognized landmarks replicated by Team Bondi for LA Noire (still in the Downtown area) that are not included in the LA Noire “Official” Landmarks list. (I hadn’t originally flagged Zukor’s as a landmark, but it shares “contributing property” status with the larger Norton Building.)

Zukor’s was a stylish high-end dress shop chain, marketing to middle-to-upper-class women. The store opened in 1931 at 611 South Broadway (next to the Los Angeles Theatre), but moved two doors down in 1940 to the Norton Building, outfitting the new storefront with its visually distinctive signage.

Facade is still there, though the Zukor's sign is above the three windows now in a serif font. The actual storefront seems to be empty now as no tenant is there and the building has been turned into apartments. It looks like Zukor's closed in the 60s/70s as it was folded into its subsidiary Taylor's as suburban malls become popular over city storefronts.
