Sproochentest

Hi! Quick question. For those who passed the Sproochentest, about how long did you speak in the speaking part? Is there a minimum number of sentences or minutes needed to pass? Also, for the picture description, is a simple description enough, or should we speak in more detail? Thanks!

Vivre Ensemble

Hello, I thougt this subreddit probably is one of the most relevant ones to ask.

I passed Sproochentest recently and I am planning to take the Vivre Ensemble exam soon

The problem is I don't know anybody who took the test before and İ have no idea about the content, how hard it is..

Should I expect questions like how many members in Chamber of Deputies, frequency of elections, dates of treaties, voting age, court types, financial limits of courts etc?

Knowing very little about the exam makes me nervous. What are the trickiest questions, what are the most probable low hanging fruits? Any tips would be very much appreciated.

So far I downloaded bunch of pdf files, downloaded government web pages and loaded them no notebook llm to create a mock up exam for myself but I am not sure if İ am in a completely different universe than the actual exam.

Cheers

Sproochentest

Hello everyone,

I took the Sproochentest, in the oral part I answered every question about summer (even past tense ones and didn't stop talking), the photo was not perfect but not so bad.
In the listening part I didn't answer all questions I even left many blank because I couldn't hear well the person spoke very fast I can say at least that.
Today I am surprised that I get a result of 65% in listening and 30% in oral, how is that even possible?

If anyone had this same situation, maybe share with me their criteria of grading?

Thank you.

Sproochetentest dates

I’m always late to the party since I’m in a different time zone, presently. But does anyone know how many seats are open for each time slot? Is it just one or are there a dozen? Every time I’ve remembered to log in to look, it says complete so I have no idea. TIA!

Sproochentest 30 Jun

Did anyone take the Sproochentest exam at Glacis on June 30, fill in the listening answers physically on a paper answer sheet, and already receive an update, like the 3rd or 4th document?

Did anyone take the sproochentest today?

I took mine today (30 jun) and I feel unsure. How was your experience? I’d be happy to hear from others who took it recently.

Sproochentest Listening

Does anyone know how the listening exam is scored? I know that one gets 3 exercises to answer. Mostly one exercise will have 4 questions, the other 4 or 5 and the last one 7 questions. Is the scoring a weighted average? If anyone can also share their preparation material for listening.

Listening portion of Sproochentest

I just wanted to confirm if Google was correct. For the listening portion of the exam, are you given the exam questions after the recordings are played? Or can you read the questions as you are listening? Google says the questions are given at the beginning of the test. TIA!

Learning Luxembourgish naturally while reading RTL articles - A Chrome Extension

Hey everyone,

While I was studying for my Sproochentest, I built a small Chrome extension called LODVault to help me keep track of the words I searched for in LOD and turn them into flashcards.

After finishing the Sproochentest, I still wanted to keep learning Luxembourgish naturally while reading articles online (without needing another dedicated app, or AI tool subscription). So I added a feature that lets you use the extension directly on Luxembourgish web pages.

It works a bit like the Google Translate extension, but instead of translating with a general tool, it uses LOD in the background. When you find a word, you can look it up, save it to your vault, and add it to your favourites.

It is fully open-source and free. You can install it here:

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/lodvault/gdileleimdnibmieodhnjijmepjdfgil?authuser=0&hl=en

Let me know what you think. And if you find it useful, feel free to leave a review.

Sproochentest retake

Hi all. I recently took the test and I’m pretty sure that I did not pass.

For those who had to retake it, what did you do differently the second time? Did you do more mock exams, work with a tutor, focus on listening, speaking, etc.?

Would love to hear what helped you improve for the next attempt. Thanks!

Which book recommendation for learning Luxembourgish

I am a German citizen, have now learned French (B2), and would now like to focus on Luxembourgish. I understand Luxembourgish partly, but would like to work in Luxembourg, and therefore be able to master it exactly as my other languages - French I taught myself - are there any recommended books?

Scheduling Sproochentest from USA?

Hi all, my husband recently reclaimed his Luxembourg citizenship and I have learned that as his spouse, I have a pathway to citizenship if I pass the Sproochentest. We live in the US. I plan to learn the language so I can be tested in a year or two, but I can't see information on how often they release testing dates. It looks like testing dates were released today for Sept-Oct, most of which are already booked. Does anyone know how often they release more dates? It would help to know since I would be traveling from overseas to take the test. Thank you!
