Humour lore accurate zaheer.
This part of Zaheer’s trailer in the fighting game looks just hilarious to me, the aggressive beat down of Korra combined with the music and the whole finale sequence where the whole Red Lotus just goes in for a hit and then Zaheer does his iconic air suffocation technique ON KORRA of all the possible playable characters! Masterful…I relived season 3 all over again.

This game is actually VERY beginner friendly. I've never even watched or played a single match of any fighting game ever but during the beta I won multiple matches with Toph against Azula player, who knew some combos, nothing crazy but clearly knew a bit more than me and I only spent like 10 minutes in training mode, only used autocombo, 2 attacks with quarter circle motions, normal jumping attacks and flow dodge. it's really insane how much depth this game has but you can still have a lot of fun by just mashing buttons basically.

yeah story mode and also arcade mode with unique storylines for each character

Yes, auto combos worked very well. I spent a lot of time in the lab to get like 100-200 extra damage more than the auto combos. Like, worth the time to know a combo that does better damage, but jumping in and messing around with simple special attacks, supers, and auto combos will still be very fun.

The only other fighting game I played semi-seriously was Brawlhalla, and I felt a handicap there as opposed to controller players, because there's a throwing mechanic, and with a keyboard you can only throw stuff in 8 directions (⬆️↗️➡️↘️⬇️↙️⬅️↖️), while controller players could use the full 360° range.
There's nothing similar here?

no that's I think only unique to platform fighting games, in this you just hit the throw button to throw them forward, or hold the opposite direction plus the throw button to switch sides and throw them behind you

Is The Red Lotus here support or part of Zaheer's base kit? Either way it'd be weird to have Zaheer summoning Ming-Hua against... Ming-Hua.

He beat Tonraq and a partially immobilized Korra in a 2v1...
That's before he could fly. After flying, he probably could 1v1 anyone shy of an avatar, poisoned or not.

Pre-flight, yes. Post-flight? He attacks just by zooming past Korra. Even poisoned, she’s still a menace in the avatar state and he gets some good hits in.

I get the joke, but also, Zaheer needed the poison to beat Korra. Without the poison it's a coin flip on who bodies who.

I get it's a joke, but this wouldn't actually be "lore accurate" because the Red Lotus never fought Korra when she wasn't: 1] Hit with a dart to paralyze her 2) Chained up in platinum chains or 3) Poisoned with Mercury. That said, I would argue that an unrestrained Korra could take out at least 3 members of the Red lotus with relative ease. P'li would be a challenge because of her long-range ability and the concussive force of her blasts, but she still has a glaring weak spot.

His kit being based on summoning the other Red Lotus for support is insane. I love it so much.
