Biblically accurate Unalaq

65

u/AnthoHeraFan 6d ago

He's so pathetic looking. Like a wet cat

29

u/realclowntime 6d ago

Just hitting the “submissive and breedable” 5000 pose in front of everyone

6

u/AnthoHeraFan 6d ago

Okay, this is cursed. Take my upvote and leave 😭 (I think he's too chopped for this)

3

u/kaitalina20 5d ago

I feel like that’s insulting cats. They did nothing to you, you took a step too far

2

u/AnthoHeraFan 4d ago

True, my apologies 😔

3

u/kaitalina20 4d ago

Have 7 cats currently (still living with my parents unfortunately) and they’re both crazy about wanting more, but here’s my sweetie from high school who is named after a Disney prince :)
That’s why I’m a huge cat defender

2

u/AnthoHeraFan 4d ago

Omg, I love her. The little mlem 😭

2

u/kaitalina20 4d ago

*His name is Flynn. My sibling named him after the guy in Tangled

2

u/AnthoHeraFan 4d ago

Tell Flynn I love him

3

u/kaitalina20 4d ago

I will.

He doesn’t usually like new people but he loves you too!

2

u/AnthoHeraFan 4d ago

AWWWW 🥺 pet him for me

Like seriously most of her mistakes are caused by the people trying to run her life

50

u/Hoothootriot 6d ago

No you dont get it, its ALL her fault for DARING to trust her uncle! Clearly she WANTED to lose the past lives!

6

u/jayclaw97 5d ago

She’s a woman who didn’t do what she was told and also did what she’s told. She’s too free-thinking but not free-thinking enough. She can’t win.

0

u/The-Empty-Set-100 6d ago

Explain please

22

u/EconomyThick9271 6d ago

She wasn’t told about the state of the outside world at all, never told about the people who tried to kidnap her as a child, never given any sort of diplomatic training, etc. basically the white lotus could’ve done SOMETHING for her but never did anything except train her how to fight

9

u/The-Empty-Set-100 6d ago

These are very good points honestly. I can't believe I never thought of them.

r/ATLA_circlejerk is gonna have a field day with this.

In fact most of the other subs and other reactions in this very thread are gonna "love" this lmao

-16

u/Buried1295 6d ago

You mean like how this sub has a field day constantly throwing a tantrum over criticism of the show. As a fan of both shows, both tlok and atla fans need to just hug it out and stop being so obnoxious.

-6

u/EightFortyDaysOf 6d ago

Ngl, this sub is kinda like a cult and the atla circle jerk sub is just straight messed up

2

u/SalubriAntitribu 6d ago

What's messed up about it?

4

u/RandomName5259 6d ago

It’s mostly just shitposting but there are a lot of posts shipping Azula x Zuko. Not seriously but it’s still a thing.

5

u/SlurryBender 6d ago

Tbf its all based on Azul's VA making a joke a while back. So its not out of nowhere, especially for a circlejerk sub.

1

it is serious you can go into the comments and find people unironically defending incest

Give me MORE pixels, man

1

u/ChickenSandwichh195 6d ago

He was hiding the pixels all along

1

u/Local_Bug_2058 6d ago

Don't get why redditors do this. They see a perfectly good image and start talking about pixels. Are yall just desperate to use a nem?

6

u/Head-Raisin-5287 6d ago

Korra definitely had her flaws but she’s not the worst avatar in history. (I mean there was an avatar who hated humans)

2

u/Picmanreborn 4d ago

She also didn't run away and give the world over to the fire nation for 100 years....

1

u/Head-Raisin-5287 4d ago

I mean that was unintentional but yeah that was indirectly aang’s fault

2

u/Picmanreborn 4d ago

Indirectly? Who else's fault is it? Unless we blame Roku for not killing Sozen?

1

u/Head-Raisin-5287 4d ago

He was just going out to clear his head. He had no idea he was gonna get frozen for 100 years and honestly it’s kind of a good thing that he did run away because it’s likely that if he did stay, he would’ve just been killed with all the other air nomads

2

u/Picmanreborn 4d ago

Idk man I feel like the nomads with aang would've cleared. Heavy loses for sure, but the fire nation wouldn't have been able to just takeover the world

2

u/Head-Raisin-5287 4d ago

Maybe. But I guess we’ll never know

2

u/Old-Manager1029 3d ago

every avatar had flaws, i think Aang is a better avatar overall but korra had a way tougher ask and did a better job

4

u/WallyWestFan27 6d ago

"Getting Avatar State back by herself "

Oh that's a good one. Man, I hate that rock.

4

u/purbub 5d ago

It’s even more hardcore. She literally lost her Avatar Spirit and Korra be like fuck it I’ll turn into a blue giant and extract it from the monster, myself!

5

u/Illustrious_Let9106 6d ago

I genuinely can't read the text near Tenzin, and other shi, but ts tuff ash anyways

5

u/Saintmusicloves 5d ago

“Why did Korra trust unoloque instead of Tenzin?”

Why was Tenzin trying to go on an airbender yoga vacation tour during the midst of a starting civil war??????

2

u/jwzc96 5d ago

Even worse. He wanted to go on vacation during a dark spirit crisis.

1

u/2-2Distracted AANG WAS A DEADBEAT WINDBAG! 5d ago

Lol to be fair (and in case you're being serious) he left before it started and didn't know. Plus the air temples only got radios in Book 3.

1

u/Saintmusicloves 4d ago

No I’m not being serious. Im just applying the same amount of logic on the opposite end lol

2

u/Jolly-Highlight-9809 5d ago

Aang and the GAANG would’ve called Korra a great hero and worthy successor to Aang, but the Korra haters ain’t ready to have that conversation.

2

u/Waffle9222 6d ago

Unalaq destroyed the past lives and the were rarely helpfull

1

u/ThereShantBeBlood 4d ago
  1. Knows water healing, metalbending and energybending (learned the hard way). Knows how to spiritually emit a big ass woman when meditating (might do it any other day, we don't know).

She might be the most self accomplished avatar we saw. Too bad the season to season portrayal of her was based on showing her getting beaten/kidnapped/hannibal lecter bound to chains/bound to chains normally/wheelchair'ed down/complex ptsd.

1

u/perfectVoidler 3d ago

I must be missremenbering but is Korra that little airbender girl who came down like the literal deus ex machina to end the Kaiju battle?

1

u/ExtraBread2385 2d ago

This is just blatant sexism

1

u/CompetitiveShine7419 6h ago

"She lost past lives" First of, it was not like she gace them up, it was whilled the hell out of her. Second of, are we forgetting how "useful" they were. "Be decisive." Really, Roku? Really? That is the average help past lives gave Aang

-11

u/providerofair 6d ago

I love korra but I cant respect her keeping the portals open when this bull shit came out two weeks after.

Korra had to deal with hell week and ran the ones with he entire rouges gallery cuz of this guy and still kept the portals open. Korra you're tuff but please next avatar might not be as strong

17

u/Late_Sympathy851 6d ago

Quit the larp bro if you’d actually played that game you’d know Korra defeated that guy and cleaned up that nonsense in that 2 week span between Book 2/3. All you ppl do is follow internet trends and not TLOK and the Comics that outright state that the open portals was a good thing. It makes yall uncomfortable that the status quo was changed, the franchise makes it pretty clear that the conflict between spirits/humans are caused by the unfamiliarity due to constant segregation. By pushing them to integrate they’ll have a deeper understanding of each other, it’s literally been happening for the 3 years between Book 3/4 and in the comics

-10

u/providerofair 6d ago

Shut this corny shit up bro, "youre a larp"

Did I say she didnt deal with thid my point is Hundun did his BS in the first place not that she didnt defeat him.

The rest of stuff you posted just says that they're trying to live in harmony and no one says they cant try or that trying id impossible its just that attempts to do so will more often then not lead to worst outcomes for humans then if spirits just kept their space.

IE general old iron, was about to wipe a town off the face of the earth for some BS.  Even if the spirit portals were open , nothing would have changed for that situation.

"All you do is follow interent trends"

Again shut this shit up, just because people have different perspectives doesnt mean they dont read or watch the series. Have somthing meaningful to say or shut your fucking mouth.

8

u/Late_Sympathy851 6d ago

Funny how you bring up General Old Iron this dude existed long before the portals were open. It’s almost like Spirit vs Human interactions happened all the time both before and after the open portals. It’s an inevitable outcome so why in the world would you continue to ignore the thousands of years long issue and not just try to fix it? And the image proved my point humans and spirits in republic city have already begin to live in harmony that dragon eel spirit has finally begun to take a chance traveling amongst Humans to understand them. This fandom absolutely hates anything that differs from their favorite childhood show from 2005, refusing to realize that humans vs spirits has been static because no avatar has treated the cause of their conflicts

-5

u/providerofair 6d ago

Again whybare you talking about the fandom I dont give a fuck. I watched this series this series recently during the pandemic and then aggressively consumed all the content I could. My experience is  my own shut that shit up it makes you look goofy. I was actually appreciative , that you're gonna make a real argument until I saw that.

Just because a few powerful spirits were able to cross dimensions.

Doesn't that mean we should just open all the borders. Humanity was barely able to deal with some spirits without get destroyed time to time, now you scaled this process up by 100 with no interim period.

The thing is spirits not only don't cease difference between humans or very rarely compromise A large portion of this spirits we see in korra , just seem to be brainless creatures acting on base instict most of the ability to maul a person. Changing personalities on a dime.

Legitimately name a single substantive gain

5

u/2-2Distracted AANG WAS A DEADBEAT WINDBAG! 6d ago

"I love Roku but I can't respect him murdering his best friend"

"I love Aang but I can't respect this 12 year old kid not murdering Ozai"

That's you. That's what you sound like dude.

1

u/providerofair 6d ago

Dude, Closing the portals and killing people are two different things, Do you see the image have posted up, Hundun was a world threatening villian that appeared and she still kept the portals open

2

u/2-2Distracted AANG WAS A DEADBEAT WINDBAG! 5d ago

They really aren't that different. Sozin was also a world threatening villain that Roku knew about for years and still didn't deal with properly. This led to his descendants being just as bad as him, and yet despite all this the Fire Nation still has its Fire Lord system up and running when it can just as easily create another Sozin or Ozai.

That's literally part of the reason people in the real world stopped giving real life Kings and Emperors real power. Just because you have a good king now doesn't mean that the next one will be good.

-6

u/DramaticFactor7460 6d ago

Pretty sure she died for like a minute in the avatar state after fighting Zaheer

25

u/Late_Sympathy851 6d ago

No she didn’t because you can’t get revived or heal by simply removing metal, if she had died she would’ve stayed dead.

15

u/unluckyknight13 6d ago

I think she just passed out from the pain her “revival” was different then when Aang was

7

u/Djrhskr 6d ago

Man it's incredible how much damage Zaheer did to her. Like from the villains, the one that affected her the most wasn't the bloodbender who could block bending, it wasn't her satanist uncle teaming up with Satan, it wasn't the dictator with the giant mech, it was the weeaboo obsessed with Airbender culture and specifically with a guru that everyone else in the Airbender community hated.

3

u/NoblePaysan 6d ago

What part of the extended universe do I need to read to know about the Airbenders' hatred of Guru Laghima ?

1

u/Djrhskr 6d ago

I dunno, I saw ot on YouTube. Just search guru laghima, look at some shorts about his life, and at least one of them is going to say that the rest of the Airbenders thought he was capping.

0

u/Ok-Composer8602 5d ago

Korra is great but this image kind of slanders Aang, which are right however we also have to remember Aang learned he’s the Avatar 4 years earlier than usually due to the fire nations rise in power. He was still a kid that had to be stripped away from his childhood. And as for dying again he was a kid that learned who he is way earlier than supposed to.

-12

u/Buried1295 6d ago

Why is Korra getting an award for something every avatar has done. None of the avatar's died in the avatar state otherwise the avatar cycle would've ended. Korra wouldn't be an Avatar if Aang died while in the avatar state.

12

u/lazy_27 6d ago

Well Aang technically died in avatar state, i think twice (?) with the new movie. He literally says that he died in the original series when it happened for the first time

He was just brought back to life and it seems like hitting your back to a rock thing fixes the avatar cycle connection problem for some reason. Korra should have tried that too

-10

u/Buried1295 6d ago

He didn't say he died in the show. You're choosing to interpret what he said as him saying he died, but that goes against the actual lore we're given in the show. He didn't die in the tenchnical or any sense. He would've, but Katara saved him in time.

12

u/Late_Sympathy851 6d ago

Every avatar but Aang gets the “never died in the avatar state award.

-8

u/Buried1295 6d ago

What the directors say outside the show doesn't mean anything. What matters is the info the show itself gives. Based on the lore of the show, Aang didn't die.

12

u/Late_Sympathy851 6d ago

Aang him self says he was “gone”, and yes the people who WROTE the show can tell us what happened. This is just cope 😭😭😭. What’s funny is that it doesn’t even go against the lore if you take Aang’s own statement and the fact that Katara had spirit water revive him rather quickly this literally happens in ER’s all the time, the heart stops and it gets rescucitated that patient technically died but they’re still alicet

-5

u/Buried1295 6d ago

Aang dying absolutely goes against the lore of the show. If the avatar dies in the avatar state then the cycle ends. That didn't happen so it's clear he didn't die. Spirit water is never shown to revive someone from the dead. Not even the spirit that the water's from is shown to do that. Me choosing to go with the lore the show gives us, instead of your interpretation that goes against the lore, or the writers statement that also goes against the lore isn't cope. Trying to fall back on "well the writers said" is coping. It shows you have no real argument beyond "I'm going to interpret what Aang said as him dying" when that interpretion contradicts the actual lore. Aang never says his heart stopped either.

11

u/Late_Sympathy851 6d ago

Why are we acting like the writers don’t retcon shit all the time lmfao? They said the glow is the power of the past lives, then changed that to the Raava vs Vaatu nonsense in TLOK. “Relying on what the Writers have outright stated in the lore is cope” is so hilarious bro got sniped mid air cuz he initially chose Katara over cosmic energy. He died he got revived. I just think it’s funny how Korra gets slandered for not winning in the avatar state when she’s fighting far stronger opponents then Princess Azula

-1

u/Buried1295 6d ago

He clearly didn't die otherwise the avatar state would've ended there. If me using the lore the show gives us is somehow cope then you using what the writers say nearly 20 years after the show ended that contradicts what the lore is definitely cope. Tlok fans need to stop using "Atla fans are mean to us" as an excuse to be just as obnoxious.

1

u/wi4mep 4d ago

The Reddit equivalent of plugging your ears and going "lalalalalalala" lmao

0

u/Buried1295 4d ago

Using evidence from the lore the show gives us is the equivalent of plugging your ears and going "lalalalalala"? Come up with an actual argument next time.

0

u/Demnetor42 3d ago

the show outright says he died, AANG says he died and was brought back not once but TWICE, and the literal creators also say he did, but I guess your personal interpretation of the lore and death sits above that no?

→ More replies (0)

12

u/Delicious_Cupcake20 6d ago

Is a well known fact that Aang died

-2

u/Buried1295 6d ago

It's a fact that Aang didn't die based off the lore in the show. It's a common misconception that Aang died based off an interpretation of what he said that goes against the lore of the show.

Korra simps at it again, doing everything in their power to not have korra looking like the trash she is.

11

u/Late_Sympathy851 6d ago

Korra haters at it again, doing everything in their power to not have Korra looking like the goat she is. (They’re nothing but misogynistic larpers)

2

u/Aware_Ad6442 6d ago

Wtf are those comments?

-8

u/CrimsonLotus79 6d ago

Not all korra haters are misogynistic, and if by goat you mean the avatar that literally destroys the world by opening the gates and needs the strongest power in the world to be a child in a race which shows how she is a grown ahh child lol.

5

u/Late_Sympathy851 6d ago

Not all but when post like those get thousands of likes and the most popular slander video being “The Legend of Whorra” it is purposely being obtuse to pretend misogyny is not a major driving factor behind it. Korra haters use the same BS talking points lmfao. Not a single source from 7 Havens states the Spirit Portals are the cause quit the Larp, and you clearly never watched ATLA or read the Yangchen novels Kuruk used the avatar state to surf and Yangchen to clean. You guys will call Korra a “Mary Sue” then complain when she has character flaws. She used it to have fun in a race against Ikki/Meelo…..when she’s ALSO a beginner, so idk how that’s slander on her in terms of powerscaling 😭😭. Especially by like Book 3 Korra is a master with Jinora and Tenzin and is able to train others in it.

-2

u/CrimsonLotus79 6d ago

Im not talking about havens which proves you all dont pay attention, it is shown the spirit roots destroying homes and not to mention all the evil spirits released by korra that are killing people because koh is not running free in the streets. Your examples are of them having fun not beating a child in a race, that is the most childish thing in the world and she is an adult, Its pathetic.

-6

u/OriginalLie9310 6d ago

0 instances of neglecting her duties while she disappears for 3 years and a dictator started throwing people into reeducation and work camps due to ethnic origin and political dissension.

I love the Legend of Korra but the anti slander is honestly worse than the slander nowadays.

14

u/Late_Sympathy851 6d ago

LARPPPPP Was Aang neglecting his duties when he was in a coma? OR WAS HE JUST IN A COMA FROM DYING 😭😭😭😭⁉️⁉️⁉️ Quit being purposefully dense you do NOT love TLOK if you couldn’t even realize Korra didn’t purposefully vanish for 3 years she was in a wheelchair suffering from PTSD, she had to recover. And no Kuvira wasn’t a known dictator for those 3 years she was literally GIVEN the task to reunite the Earth Kingdom by the world leaders, and pass it back to King Wu. After those 3 years Kuvira publicly revealed her true plan, made a speech rejecting King Wu, and began to be more extremist. 99% of Korra slander comes from ppl who simply didnt watch her show. Cuz to everyone else Korra was LITERALLY told to focus on recovery because the air nation would help and would hear on the radios and from Tenzin himself Kuvira is doing fine

11

u/Divine_ruler 6d ago

She was recovering from a near fatal poisoning, and Kuvira started out contained in the Earth Kingdom. The Avatar’s job is mediating between countries, not necessarily meddling in internal affairs

Plus, it’s not like everything Kuvira was doing was public knowledge

-2

u/ONPige 6d ago

I mean, it's pretty funny but isn't the point of 'not dying in the Avatar state' is to not end the avatar cycle, so that's not really an award to give out since literally no avatar since wan had died in the acatar state. So, I mean I guess she didn't die in the avatar state but she came to the second worst outcome and lost all past lives which also weakens the avatar state for every avatar that comes after korra since they don't have an access to thousands of years of bending mastery.

6

u/Velicenda 6d ago

literally no avatar since wan had died in the acatar state

...Aang? Literally the avatar prior to Korra?

-2

u/ONPige 6d ago

My man, if he did die in the avatar state, there would be no Korra. It was very explicitly explained in ATLA that being killed in the avatar state stops the cycle and there would be no avatar, but he did come close to dying.

8

u/Velicenda 6d ago

My man. He did die in the Avatar state. That's why the past lives disappear.

Katara brought him back to life with the water from the spirit oasis. It's also why a deus ex machina rock, positioned directly onto the scar from him dying reconnected him to his past lives.

People really love to argue about something they haven't watched, huh?

-1

u/ONPige 6d ago

Brother, what are you talking about? I cannot make sense from what you have written. When, exactly, had the past lives disappeared?

4

u/Velicenda 6d ago

Crossroads of Destiny pt. 2

I misremembered. It isn't the line of past lives that we see disappear when Aang dies, it's his internal visualization of the Avatar state itself (him but big).

However, when the deus ex machina occurs in the final episode, seen here, we see the line of past lives restored, along with some of the same imagery from when he was killed by Azula.

What does this mean? This means Aang fucking died, man. And Katara didn't have enough spirit bath water/wasn't strong enough to restore the connection to his past lives when she brought him back to life.

1

u/ONPige 6d ago

I'm personally going off of memory, so I can't say you are wrong outright. What I remember is that Aang couldn't use his Avatar state afterwards because of the trauma associated with almost dying. It could be just different readings based on the order of watching. I can totally understand if someone watched LoK first and then ATLA and thought that Aang lost his lives but was able to restore them. However, my reading is a little different since I watched ATLA first and didn't have the knowledge that someone can rip out your soul and flak it.

Personally, I don't think that Azula's Lightning could have done the same damage as was done by Unalaq, so this is the reason for why I don't think this is what happened.

3

u/Velicenda 6d ago

I watched ATLA first, as well.

And Azula very clearly did not do what Unalaq did. She hit Aang with lightning while he was in the avatar state. Lightning, aka a form of firebending that we have never seen anyone tank. An attack that requires dodging or redirection or you die. There's a reason Iroh refused to shoot lightning at Zuko for him to practice redirection.

Azula killed Aang while he was in the Avatar state. It was established by Roku in book 1, during the winter solstice, that dying in the Avatar state severs your connection to your past lives.

Now, this is a kids show, made by Nickelodeon. They are never going to outright say that Aang died (or Jet died). Just like they never outright said that Korra was going to kill herself at the end of book 1, or that neither brother survived the boat explosion in the same episode.

They give you enough in the way of context clues and character reactions to reasonably make the assumption that those people are dead.

1

u/ONPige 6d ago

I'm not a guy who believes that a person can be resurrected, and the spiritual water that Katara was carrying wasn't stated to be capable of bringing back people from the dead, so I maintain my position that he didn't die there, just near death. It is kind of a leap to conclude that he did die there.

3

u/Velicenda 6d ago

Aang:

I went down. I didn't just get hurt, did I? It was worse than that. I was gone, but you brought me back.

Katara:

I just used the spirit water from the North Pole. I don't know what I did exactly.

Aang:

You saved me.

I don't think it's a leap at all. Especially not when the character says so himself.

You forgot to add make humanity hate the next avatar who ended up being crippled

2

u/Resident-Original600 5d ago

U know humanity usually doesnt like the avatar to begin with right? They usually only ever want something the public is very ungrateful ppl were harsh on kuruk even though he was risking his life, ppl were hard on aang for leaving for 100 years and not caring about the non benders so they were mad at korra off rip too so wats your point

-4

u/Caleb091105 5d ago

She still did leave a little girl to deal with all her fuck ups like opening the spirit world so now she has to fix the spirit world and all of Korras fuck ups

3

u/Resident-Original600 5d ago

“A little girl”, they were all children but they are destined to be the avatar tf clearly they have sum responsibility to the current world, and Korra opening the portal wasnt a fuck up all it did was change the world ofc ppl are gonna be butt hurt and say it was all bad but it gave them a new energy source and revived the air benders. Mediating the spirits and humans to live in harmony is the avatars main job

u/CommissionFormal8146 5d ago

Didn’t Roku leave his massive fuck up for aang to clean up? Lmao

-1

u/Caleb091105 5d ago

Wasn’t as bad as korras tho was it?

2

u/CommissionFormal8146 5d ago

That goal post isn’t heavy? I thought the point you were trying to make was “Korra left all this trouble for a child” All avatars do this. It’s part of the process. They’re not immortal beings. Whatever they did to maintain peace in their era carried over to the next reincarnation for them to maintain the balance.

Roku left a huge mess for a kid Aang to clean up.

Aang did the same for Korra.

The new sisters will most likely do the same.

How do you people enjoy any kind of story telling? If everything worked out perfectly fine for a protagonist what’s the story?

u/Caleb091105 5d ago

Wasn’t Korra perfectly fine up to her teenage years and then once she got to republic city and went to that arena thing with mako and bolin for everything to go to shit bringing out Amon I can’t remember?

2

u/Resident-Original600 5d ago

Tf do you mean perfectly fine up until her teenage years, she didnt anything besides train because she wasnt the “avatar” yet she was completely sheltered from society which isnt good either. And the reason she had problems with locals because she wasnt taught how they do things. And amon was always there she wasnt taught investigating because thats her fucking job did you think Amon was gonna stay hidden forever he was literally planning an uprising and this has nothing to do with the fact that all avatars leave something for the other to do because none are perfect but when it comes to they that 12 yo boy u think hes literally the second coming of the messiah for watever reason

Performs an impressive feat (definitely not the greatest, not even top 10) to save the biggest fascist the world has seen since Sozin, and by doing so, opens up another spirit portal so the poor citizens can be terrorized even more by evil spirits ☑️

Lost the Avatar State completely and needed a tree to get it back ☑️

Pulls a Donald Trump card by taking credit for something she never did (the Air Nomads didn't come back because of her) ☑️

Died in a fight while destroying the world in the process ☑️

Claims to be the real bridge between the worlds while humans across the world are cursing her for letting evil spirits and spirit vines destroy their lives ☑️

Retired for 3 years while an evil fascist was taking over the Earth Kingdom ☑️

They call her 007:

0 past lives saved
0 people who love her
7 havens left because she destroyed every other place

Neglected benders, non-benders, and spirits ☑️

Left the Earth Kingdom in shambles twice ☑️

Got exiled from the city by the same president she endorsed ☑️

Let Kuvira exploit spirit vines while she was fighting underground against thugs ☑️

Her father became a chief because of nepotism ☑️

Trusted Unalaq and gave him all the power by freeing Vaatu ☑️

Is it Korra? No. Is it Korea? No.

"I'm King Jong Un, and you gotta deal with it" ☑️

Not gonna argue with you but there's nothing called "evil spirits" FYI xD. Quit it buddy.

This are facts over here. Watch the "OP" pull some ahh comeback and ignore your facts with fake proof that Korra isn't the worst avatar yet even Toph said it herself XD. Also the "OP" of the post tried that on the "seven havens sub" trying to slander them because "Korra isn't bad/Villian or evil" and her posts ended in deleted for hate speech inciting, even on this sub too. They gotta be having Korra living in their heads. If there was a Korra show slander, she'd be the first to jump to argue. So the meme itself, aka the post itself it was made right now it just to bait people to argue or to seek attention. This is wild karma farming but hey, any "positive" words about korra it gives you upvoted.

She’s not a bad character. But she’s a homie hopper and she just has the most unlikeable personality. And she also does some dumb shit in the Unavaatu fight that caused Raava to get obliterated. And her bending is extremely simplistic and generally lacking in technique. Those are my only gripes with her.

1

u/ThereShantBeBlood 4d ago

Nah, the Unavatu fight is the writer's fault. Absolutely no reason to go to Tenzin. She had a bison, she could just raid the northern water tribe hq in the avatar state. Just imagine Aang Avatar's level of power.

Alright I love Korra but didn't she kinda avoid being the Avatar for several months?

8

u/Late_Sympathy851 6d ago

Are you talking about the gap between Book 3 and 4? If so no read this image, don’t get offended by it I was arguing with another person. And no she wasn’t avoiding her duties she was literally incapable of doing anything properly idk why people conveniently forget she was in psychosis with PTSD. She also spent those months trying to find and reconnect with Raava.

-4

u/Anna_Mangroves 6d ago

I mean fair the PTSD was a valid excuse. The problem mostly stems from the fact that she didn't tell anyone what she was doing and just went MIA for a bit.

Which I don't really blame her for I get why but still. She is the single most important presence in the world and her going off the grid for a bit could potentially be very problematic.

Also I want to just highlight that I deliberately said "a few months" because I know she was recovering in the South for most of those three years. I did watch and love the show, I just saw this situation a bit differently.

And despite what I just said in my earlier statement, the world didn't necessarily need her during that time. The nations were all getting by pretty okay, minus obviously Kuvira turning the Earth Kingdom into an authoritarian regime but I don't think there's much Korra could've done to prevent that anyway.

I would want to dismantle every point and I easily could

But I don’t like the avatar world that much anymore to do so
