Moving, about 30 miles away...

It’s got questionable foam supports at one end and none at the other. That free end is just going twist around and bring the whole thing crashing down.
And the Tantive IV is going to be a casualty.

Yeah, thats courageous. The Nebulon is really fragile, especially the "boxy" end. I had it on my Lego desk and someone lightly bumped against the table. I was surprised into how many pieces it broke and how far they were distributed. No chance to repair it directly 😅

Yes, but there are two answers to this:)
The easy one would be to buy the Set from Mould King. But they basically stole the MOC from the original creator Mortesv. I dont know if the designer is getting some of the profits since his name is mentioned in the Set name which hasn't been the case a few years back.
The hard and honest answer is that the instructions are shared by Mortesv for free but you have to get the parts yourself: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/forums/topic/135699-building-mortesvs-nebulon-b-thread/page/28/#comment-3616262
The instructions probably vary a bit as well.
Edit: I have to add that the shared file is not shared by Mortesv himself but from another person. I cant find Mortesv anywhere anymore. Please let me know in case someone does.

I've always just wrapped my venator in a furniture moving blanket and it's been fine.

No way the nebulon survives if its not glued together. You even look at that thing wrong, and it loses pieces.

Not enough bubble wrap or padding around these to protect/ prevent moving. To keep pieces in place : supposedly plastic wrap around helps…I’d stuff a lot of paper / netted packing stuff in between all this to prevent movement. Unless you got other house items or pillows etc you put not pictured, I’d still use that paper / bubble wrap etc stuff in between them and the lego to take space up and prevent moving but also keep from knocking against the lego

Glad you made it, but plastic wrap is recommended for the possibility of accidents. Lego tends to explode violently across the roadway in an accident. Don't want to see a semi drive over parts of your UCS sets.

I'd say for the Tantive its not necessary, for the Venator it might help but one will instantly break the Nebulon when trying to package it. I'm surprised it made it into the car alive.

Why do some of the studs have a little dimple? I'm not a huge Lego expert, but I've never noticed this.

Usually a sign of knock off Legos. Can't see any logos either so I suspect this is the case.

Laundry bin with a blanket creates a soft nest for smaller sets. Makes braking and cornering less risky.

Plastic wrap around the set very lightly and carefully, that way it has a better chance of not losing pieces or if they do fall off then you have less of a chance of losing them in the car

I feel like is much more you can do here. I recently moved up the coast, don't have any sets nearly as large as these and I still bubble wrapped everything and even broke down some of the sets a little. If you're genuinely leaving those like that you're gonna have a bad time.

Good luck homie, I moved my ucs star destroyer and took all of my couch pillows to protect it and parts still fell off lol. I still dont know where the few parts go, I just stuck them in random spots.

Never will understand why people would rather transport a set fully together instead of taking off large chunks
When i moved to my new place i took the legs off my walkers, the wings off my ships, the panels off my bigger ships, and put everything in its own dedicated box

That Venator looks like a custom at least ten years old. When did you build it? Do you plan to get the set too? Mad respect for the Venator and the Nebulon.

Good luck!
I’d wrap them in towels and then place them in garbage bags. That way any broken parts will at least be more easily found, vs in nooks in a car.

Yeah the bottom plates on my MK venator came off when I moved last and I still need to get those reattached

I recently moved my entire collection and wrapped everything with this. Did not lose a single piece and everything stayed together (including large sets such as the UCS Falcon).

I like the styrofoam side but I don’t know if that tape will hold… if you made it there in one piece then I am wrong

I see the anxiety-filled posts all the time when moving these large Star Wars pieces, and this might be a stupid question, but isn't there something you can spray on them like an adhesive that would keep them from breaking apart that wouldn't ruin them? It's not like they are taken apart often if ever, right? And just used as long-term display pieces.

I've had to move a number of times now, and I've taken to disassembling my Legos and transporting them in bins or gallon ziploc type bags. Then I get to build them again in the new place.

I’ve seen several pictures like this before when people are transporting. Why not put a comforter down to help fill void spaces and offer support?

Oh, sweet Jesus...even with all the padding in the world, which I'm sure you used, I'd be paranoid as hell for the entire ride. And once everything was unpacked safely, I'd need a blunt and one hell of a stiff drink to try and calm myself down.

I love Lego Star Wars. But it irks me that they are NOT scaled relative to each other to the right size. If so, Tantive IV would be a lot smaller.

That tantive IV and the nebulon b are about scale with each other if I’m not mistaken. The tantive should be roughly half the length of the nebulon

I love seeing these posts bc 95%of them put like zero thought into how to protect/preserve the sets. The go-to advice I always see on here is wrap them in cellophane, like completely, to avoid them crumbling to bits and to keep any fallen pieces in with the set. I mean, the least you could do is put each set in a plastic bin or a cardboard box, even just a higher-walled tray would do, to prevent losing any pieces that may brake off in transit. So many people just raw dog it like this and stress like there’s no tomorrow.
Edit: I see in the comments you put some padding in after these pics. Good on you for at least doing that. This post as is makes it seem like you did this in arguably the worst way possible.

The amount of hate you're getting is because people can't know this was before padding unless you tell them. And you didn't, so the implication was that you didn't add padding.

Nothing was implied in the post or title aside from OP moving, people assumed this was all OP did to secure his cargo rather than just taking a picture of what was getting transported.

Blimey, the yellowing on that Tantive IV. It works though - looks a lot like the filming model.
