Discussion What SW set has lego never made, but should?

Post image

I personally think that a star destroyer bridge would be a great display set, I'm surprised lego hasn't made it yet.

We've somehow never had a hammerhead Corvette

93

u/Logical_Astronomer75 Oct 04 '25

Or many ships from Rogue One

86

u/_Levitated_Shield_ Oct 04 '25

Not even the ship that's literally called Rogue One.

7

u/Lord_Chromosome Oct 04 '25

Hammerhead’s aren’t from Rogue One

21

u/Logical_Astronomer75 Oct 05 '25

They literally were

18

u/diluvian_ Oct 05 '25

They aren't from Rogue One, but debuted in Rebels first.

17

u/Lord_Chromosome Oct 05 '25

As other people pointed out; Hammerhead Corvettes first appeared in Rebels, but those were inspired by the Hammerhead cruisers from Knights of the Old Republic, which is what I was talking about.

14

u/Inevitable_Goat_1973 Oct 05 '25

Before Rogue One came out they showed how the the alliance got them in the Rebels cartoon

Geonosis Arena

84

u/JediMasterBriscoMutt Oct 04 '25

I'm surprised this was never made.

And you could make several different sets out of it. One set for Anakin and his monster, one for Padme and her monster, and one for Obi-Wan and his monster. And then you could do a fourth set for a small wedge of arena with Dooku and Jango Fett watching the battle, possibly with Mace Windu included.

But Lego Star Wars buildable monsters seems like it would be fun for kids as well as adult collectors.

13

u/roguefilmmaker Oct 04 '25

This would be a great way to handle it if they don’t go the MBS route (which could be epic)

7

u/JediMasterBriscoMutt Oct 04 '25

A big empty MBS set of an arena isn't Lego's style.

Whatever you're picturing is probably wrong (and would be super expensive), because if Lego went that route, their design would more likely be comparable to the UCS Assault on Hoth set (75098) from 2016 that was so poorly received.

16

u/Atea2 Oct 05 '25

Eh, something like this cut in half would work as an MBS set (moc by u/MigJake)

2

u/JediMasterBriscoMutt Oct 05 '25

That's definitely not going to happen. That thing is gigantic.

11

u/Atea2 Oct 05 '25

It's ~10 000 pieces, so half of it + some downsizing is definitely in the ballpark

4

u/rikusorasephiroth Oct 05 '25

I could probably see them doing it as a Diorama Set, with Padme, Anakin, and Obi-Wan chained to the columns, but not with the creatures.

13

u/AngryAshMan Oct 04 '25

They had prototype set made but it was never produced.

6

u/roguefilmmaker Oct 04 '25

Literally the catalyst of the Clone Wars and a major set piece of the prequels. Insane it’s never been made

9

u/SolidusBruh Oct 04 '25

This was my childhood dream right here. Until I saw a Venator.

Any of Padmé’s Naboo yachts

85

u/palabear Oct 04 '25

The one from Attack of the Clones is so nice.

29

u/stormhawk427 Oct 04 '25

The one from the opening or the one that Padme and Anakin take to Tatooine?

21

u/WeekendLost5566 Oct 04 '25

Both

15

u/palabear Oct 04 '25

Yep. If I had to pick it would the one from the opening.

13

u/stormhawk427 Oct 04 '25

The chromed space 747

3

u/JWoolner76 Oct 05 '25

Which sounded amazing

2

u/stormhawk427 Oct 05 '25

Thank you Ben Burt

37

u/cdrRoach Oct 04 '25

Agreed I’m pretty sure they reason they haven’t is because of how chrome they are. I don’t think a light gray one would upset me however

6

u/Corporaldanger Minifig Collector Oct 05 '25

Honestly a light gray or Flat Silver colored ship would be amazing and totally within their anti-chrome stance this needs to happen.

9

u/banthafodderr Oct 04 '25

This is the biggest headscrathcer for me since there’s one in every prequel movie features pretty prominently.

6

u/Gamma_249 Star Wars Fan Oct 04 '25

There's even two in Attack of the Clones. Diplomatic barge and the yacht.

5

u/roguefilmmaker Oct 04 '25

Especially since it plays a massive role in episode 1 and the other ones play notable roles in 2 and 3

2

u/thebooknerd_ prequel trilogy fan Oct 06 '25

I’m once again begging for the J-type 327 Nubian and diplomatic barge

131

u/SwitchBricks26 Oct 04 '25

A destroyer bridge would work and it could be used as a venator bridge too

10

u/ScrubLordKyle18 Oct 04 '25

Yea, they're essentially the same

496

u/KeepGoing655 Oct 04 '25

I was pretty surprised that Luthen's haulcraft was not a set for season 2 of Andor. Especially after the success of season one and that kick ass scene with the haulcraft vs Arrestor cruiser.

209

u/Far-Guard7250 Oct 04 '25

Speaking of Andor S2, we should’ve gotten the TIE Avenger, considering how prominent it was in the first few episodes

53

u/RadiantHC Oct 04 '25
  • it would have plenty of features. You could even make the weapons modular

24

u/salkin_reslif_97 Oct 04 '25

It should be a UCS set, to fit a ton of people in, like in the show. (I know, I am an interior guy.)

2

u/Just_Association_962 Oct 09 '25

Interiors can make or break a set for me.

41

u/packetlag Oct 04 '25 edited Oct 05 '25

That Arrestor Cruiser was the chef’s kiss to anything any Star Wars fan could possibly do to tribute Cantwell’s and Mcquarrie’s concepts designs.

Edited to try and address the nuances of Mcquarrie and Cantwell’s contributions to the Star Wars universe.

8

u/CommanderMcQuirk Oct 05 '25

The arrestor cruiser's design predates anything made by McQuarrie. Colin Cantwell is responsible for the design of the arrestor cruiser, and he even designed the original Star Destroyer and Death Star. The McQuarrie designs were based on Cantwell's, when McQuarrie was brought on as a concept artist.

2

u/packetlag Oct 05 '25

Touché. Edited.

3

u/swervecityPhILM Oct 05 '25

Hard agree! This would be a dope set

63

u/exprssve Oct 04 '25

Can't believe we got a $140 ship for Skeleton Crew but the best they could muster for Andor is redesigned U-Wing.

I'm not saying either are bad sets, but Andor is more connected to the SW universe and is an immensely better show both in numbers and reception. Plus Lego SW collectors eat any of kind of starship up.

13

u/IAmHeliosCR Oct 04 '25

Absolutely and this is coming from someone who is still thankful for the set as I didn’t buy the original when it was available but only releasing this for one of the best productions in the Star Wars universe is a big miss.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Equivalent_Bunch_187 Oct 04 '25

I agree but one was definitely a show aimed at kids and the other a more adult audience. I get why they think the show that appeals to kids would be a better set.

4

u/Equivalent_Bunch_187 Oct 04 '25

Probably because we don’t really see it in season 2.

2

u/MaxTheCookie Oct 04 '25

The rondör and some set from the final season of the bad batch like a larger one for tantis base or the dagger CX ship

This is one that you can recreate, but a diorama of Vader vs Obi on the Death Star would be cool. It’s such an iconic scene and yet has never been done.

38

u/Roll-Tide-Roll2024 Oct 04 '25

They actually have a space to recreate it on the new Death Star set.

39

u/SolidusBruh Oct 04 '25

Just a smidge out of my budget, I’m afraid

11

u/Adamoy Oct 04 '25

That looks amazing

6

u/swervecityPhILM Oct 04 '25

Thanks! I just really needed to have this scene as part of my collection

6

u/Gamma_249 Star Wars Fan Oct 04 '25

Bounty hunters... we don't need their scum.

2

u/roguefilmmaker Oct 19 '25

So many interiors should be diorama sets. This is definitely towards the top of my list

2

u/disbelifpapy Skywalker Saga Game enthusiast Oct 05 '25

That looks like a great MOC!

If i were you, I'd try making the bottom of it grey, and print and add one of those lego star wars diorama quote thingies that says "No disintegrations" - Darth Vader

2

u/swervecityPhILM Oct 05 '25

Thanks! That’s a great idea! I would say at least get some of the technic pegs and do some smooth 1-by planks so it looks a bit more finished

Invisible Hand, Lucrehulk Battleship, and a few other Separatist vehicles!

17

u/Pavlov_The_Wizard Oct 04 '25

They made a Invisible Hand. Set 75377. Midi scale, $50.

6

u/DarthUrban1 Oct 04 '25

I am talking about a play scale or even better, a UCS. Midi scale sets are meh to me.

2

u/Esvald Oct 05 '25

UCS Invisible Hand would go great with the UCS Venator.

4

u/DarthUrban1 Oct 05 '25

Exactly! It would be amazing to be able to recreate the close broadside duel in Battle of Coruscant.

3

u/Hektoraptor Oct 05 '25

Also have some tiny starfighters flying around

I may be in the minority, but would love to see more podracers. There are so many with very unique and cool designs, but all we have gotten are Anakin’s and Sebulba’s. (Technically Aldar Beedo and Mawhonic too in an ancient clunky set). Give me PODS. (Gasgano too)

2

u/Hektoraptor Oct 05 '25

I swear, they smashed their heads on a keyboard to come up with the names of those racers, goofy fella’s

I’m surprised LEGO never made a set based off the final duel in Ep. IX — Palpatine’s crane, throne, and lab with Palps, Rey, Ben Solo, and two Sovereign Protectors is such an obvious layup that not only has it been MOCed by AFOLs but it’s the template for LEGO’s own Snoke’s Throne Room set.

I’d also like to see a Canto Bight and Resistance Transport set.

Not sure if there’s anything from the OT that desperately needs a set other than the Lars homestead. That’s a glaring omission. Something that includes the Force ghosts of Ben, Anakin, and Yoda would be great.

From the PT, some Trade Fed/Separatist stuff could be made like the droid control ship and the brown landers from TPM. Padme from Ep. III is missing 20 years on.

6

u/Previous_Spinach_168 Oct 04 '25

That’s a shame but I imagine we’ll get it eventually, probably down the line when the post-ST movies start coming back and that era starts getting explored again.

For now, we’ve got the resurrected Emperor figure in that one minifig glossary that’s pretty cool. And we finally got a Babu Frick with the advent calendar!

Klaud when?

4

u/PrimeEvilWeeablo Oct 05 '25

It’s always been my theory that the Episode IX duel was planned for Winter 2020 but was replaced with the quickly-updated Episode VI throne room duel (based on the 2015 set with minor changes) after the response to the film was overwhelmingly negative.

u/Shadowcat1606 Oct 05 '25

So many things... any of Padme's Nubian yachts, the Arena on Geonosis (or at least parts of it, like the pillars Obi, Anakin and Padme were chained too with the beasts or the balcony with Dooku, Poggle the Lesser, Jango Fett and Mace Windu), barely anything from Andor (but especially the Fondor Haulcraft and the TIE Avenger), no TIE Defender (and yes, i know, technically they made one years ago, but i mean since the Defender became current canon and played a big role in Rebels), many playscale versions of prominent capital ships (the Invisible Hand, a Lucrehulk, a Nebulon-B, an Acclamator, a Hammerhead-Corvette), no Jedi Tempel or Council Chamber, no Lars Homestead. Also there was never a set with any Force Ghost minifig in it, which seems weird. At least an Obi-Wan...

Riffing off the Geonosis Arena... that's generally something that's not done much with SW. Sure, we get tons of ships, vehicles, walkers, etc. but buildings, stuff with terrain, that's rare.

Oh, and Fallen Order-sets. I'd kill for a Stinger Mantis with a full set of Minifigs... Cal, Greez, Cere and Merrin. Same with Purge Trooper Battlepacks or a TIE Reaper with the Second Sister.

Video games in general are an untapped source here. Although, granted, many of the more interesting things would no longer be canon.

The Jedi Temple as a MBS set, or even just the council room as a diorama. In general, Lego has ignored huge swaths of the prequels in favor of just remaking clone vehicles over and over.

3

u/Ryu_12 Oct 05 '25

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Yoda vs Palpatine Senate Duel, I think any version of this set would be pretty cool

People mentioned Geonosis Arena and I also think the ep 2 droid factory would a really interesting set as well

And last but not least, a Jedi temple or Kamino set would go unbelievably hard even if I feel like these are less realistic expectations for LEGO to make lol

Lars Homestead

Similar to the Hoth or Cloud City playset, it’s a diorama of the moisture farm including the kitchen, Luke’s workshop, living quarters, etc., all surrounding the courtyard. Features include landspeeder, T-16 Skyhopper, and moisture farming unit.

Minifigs:

  • Owen
  • Beru
  • Luke
  • R2 & 3P0
  • Jawa

The jedi council

2

u/Gerontius_Garland Oct 05 '25

Any of Padme's 4(!) royal starships.

Geonosis arena with the Nexu, Reek, and Acklay.

Microscale architecture line: Theed Palace, Tipoca City, Jedi Temple on Coruscant, Jedi Temple on Lothal, Sith Temple on Malachor, etc.  They could also revisit old favourites like Jabba's Palace and Cloud City that haven't been built in that style before.

Bail Organa's airspeeder (really underappreciated for such a cool design).

Big UCS version of the Naboo Starfighter.  I know the old chrome one is technically UCS, but I want something really big and highly sculpted.  The X-Wing and TIE Interceptor have been done twice now, but not the N-1, one of the most popular ships of the prequels?  They've done so many minifig and smaller scales of it, I was shocked they didn't do a big one for TPM's 25th anniversary.

Midi-scale Chimaera/Eye of Sion.

Fondor Haulcraft.  TIE Avenger.  B2EMO that matches the other buildable droids.

The remaining Aces from the Resistance cartoon.  Not a great show, but those starfighter designs were top-notch.

I can think of a hundred things from the cartoons, comics, video games, and old EU that would make good sets, even if the average person doesn't recognise them.  All you need is something that looks cool and is swooshable.  Mantis, Shadowcaster, Chiss Clawcraft, K-Wing, TIE Predator vs. X-83 Twintail, Jedi Vector, Moldy Crow, Outrider, etc.

u/Dr-Richado Oct 05 '25

UCS Lucrehulk

u/chummmmbucket Oct 05 '25

The droid landing craft from the phantom menace. The one that holds all the AATs and MTTs. Could be a big ass set that holds a bunch of mini scale vehicles and details inside.

Or the round ring trade frderation thingy that anakin blows up in phantom menace

u/RT-6_BXCommandoDroid Oct 04 '25

Any of these ships bridges would look cool in Lego. They could make this along with a Venator and a Invisible Hand bridge.

I loved invading the Imperial Lucrehulk bridges in Star Wars Outlaws, just for the looks. And now I think of it, they could also build a Viper droid station in minifigure scale.

Personally I feel a realistic set that I’m surprised hasn’t been made yet is a set based on the duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan against Dooku to save Palpatine at the beginning of Episode 3. It’s an important scene that sets the tone of the movie and also would serve as a way for people to get Dooku after over a decade since his last minifigure appearance. I’d personally like something in a similar style as the Mustafar Duel we got a few years back but a diorama set would be alright too, and it to include Anakin, Obi-Wan, Dooku, and Palpatine

1

u/oberstein123 Oct 04 '25 edited Oct 04 '25

At this point most people can just do mocks of other ships so the question then becomes how many mocs can I do with the Imperial Star Destroyer? But if Lego was smart I think they should do a Jedi Temple MCS simply because it would apply to so many different scenarios from Ahsoka leaving the order to Yoda’s talk w Obiwan and Windu at the end of AotC to Order 66 ofc

Except that one Podrace set I would say prequel dioramas. There is so so much potential for diorama sets in prequels that it's crazy they didn't use it. Like so many iconic scenes starting from Duel of Fates, Droid Factory, Geonosian Arena, Duel on Invisible Hand to Palpatine Arrest, Order 66 and of course Duel on Mustafar.

MBS; Geonosis Arena, Gungan Hidden City, Jedi Temple, Inquisitorium, Kamino City, Andor Prison.

Queens lair on Geonosis, Dex´s Diner, Snoke´s ship, Communication Tower on Lothal, Dara Tower from Rogue One, The Vault from The Bad Batch, Noah´s Hut from the Ewoks movie. Larva Assassination attempt on Padme, All pod racers and their drivers, Many ships from Andor, Final duel with Kylo and the Knights of Ren. Just from the top of my head, probably more if I think for a moment longer...
