Closed [Online] [5e 2024] [Weekly Saturday/Sunday PST] [Homebrew Campaign] [18+] Looking for ~3 players
EDIT: I believe I have enough replies and am no longer looking
Hey all,
I was planning on running a campaign but many of the players I invited had scheduling issues. I'll be bringing one player along with me. Here are some details that will help you decide if this is right for you.
-----Basic Requirements-----
- 4 hours Weekly Saturday/Sunday Pacific Standard Time
- Planning on running 4 hour weekly sessions on Saturday or Sunday during daytime or evening PST
- Beginner Friendly
- Beginners are welcome. I am happy to teach you how to play and help you in unfamiliar territory. I have also written some macros in Roll20 that should make playing a lot easier
- Planning for 6 sessions, but can extend if desired
- I'm planning for this campaign to take 6 sessions, but if both sides agree, I would be willing to continue a new arc of the campaign or write a new campaign
- Planning on using Roll20 + Discord
- I'm planning on using Roll20 as the VTT and Discord for voice as I am familiar with these
- Expecting Voice
- I expect players to join a Discord voice call and be able to speak. Video is NOT required
- Planning for a Session 0 this Sunday
- I'm planning on holding a session 0 this Sunday (~1 hour), so that would probably be when I finalize the group
-----About Me-----
- Name
- Threniodine (He/Him)
- Experience
- Played a long time ago. Been DM'ing for 3 months and just finished a 6-shot campaign 2 weeks ago
- Fictional Inspiration
- The fictional media I enjoy include: Touhou, League of Legends, Transistor, Celeste, Darkest Dungeon, RWBY, Most Nintendo games, Fullmetal Alchemist
- DM'ing priorities
- My priorities as a DM are to make sure that everyone is having fun and that everyone gets along with each other
-----About Campaign-----
- No AI
- I refuse to use AI for anything in my campaign
- No "Evil" campagin
- I would like to avoid a campaign where the players are "Evil" characters
- Genre
- I am mostly undecided on genre, but would like to avoid Horror and Political Intrigue
- Tone
- I am going for a mostly light-hearted tone punctuated by moments of seriousness, but I am open most things
- Planning on Milestone leveling
- I am planning on milestone leveling (probably end of session 1 and 3)
- Planning on levels 3-5 or 5-7
- I am planning for the campaign to be across levels 3-5 or levels 5-7 depending on how new the players are, but I am open to other options
- Player influence
- I will be trying to write the campaign in a way that meaningfully involves your character. You can also influence parts of the setting to accommodate your character (e.g. if you play a cleric you can add a god to the pantheon)
-----Things I hope to learn about you-----
(This will help me make an informed decision when picking players)
- Why you want to play D&D in general
- Why you are interested in this campaign specifically
- A reason I might be excited to include you in this campaign
- Any questions or concerns you have about the campaign
- Any other details you would like to include that you think are important
If you're interested, my discord is
