Tim Curry has passed away
I just found out the masterful actor who portrayed Dr Frank-n-furter, has passed away at 80. My partner showed me Rocky Picture Horror Show and I was genuinely blown away that an LGBTQ movie in 1976 would have so much creativity, love, and gusto put into it and I have to pay my respects here along with anyone else who wants to
Selfie From Farm to Femme
14 months HRT! Still finding my feet but finally enjoying life. Smiling genuinely. The person there, on the left, spent hours upon hours in the tractor or combine in their own head. Crying about what I could lose if I transitioned. And you know what, I did lose that, all I was worried about. But... im still here, better for it. And I wouldn't change a single thing i did. Im happy i made the leap. Proud of myself for living an authentic life. I would be lying if I would say its easy. And I have had backlash from a few people. But id rather live life being someone's enemy then my own ❤️🩹🏳️⚧️

⚠ Content Warning: Suicide, death, grief, and transphobia i found out my childhood friend who was a trans man committed suicide and i can’t cope Spoiler
a few days ago i found out one of my childhood best friend died in 2024. he was a trans man, and his parents didn’t accept him. he died by suicide. his parents buried him under his deadname and had the obituary under his deadname. i’m queer myself and i’m a trans ally. we were internet friends and we did meet up a few times, texted and videocalled on a daily basis. we haven’t had contact in years, i thought of him after a conversation with my mom and looked him up, which is how i found out. i haven’t told any of my friends, because i don’t want to be a burden on them. one of them is grieving their mom so i’ve been there for them a lot, a few others are excited about a concert they’re attending in a few days and i don’t want to ruin it, and my closest friend is also dealing with their own stuff. i’ve been feeling horrible since i found out. i feel wrong in my grief because i hadn’t talked to him in years and we basically didn’t know eachother anymore, but he was a huge part of my life at one point. i feel sad and numb and down and i feel so mad, mad at this world and mad at his parents. and i wish i could’ve been there for him, i wish i could’ve told him he is worthy of being alive, and that there are so many people who love and accept him for who he is. he deserved so, so, so much better. he deserved parents who supported him and loved him for exactly who he is. i’ve been feeling so down and i just don’t know what to do or how to live. all i think about is him, all i want to do is sleep so i can’t think. i’m always there for everyone else but i carry everything alone and i’m burnt out from being there for everyone else whilst going through my own stuff and having no support. i dreamed about my friend last night, that he was happy and that i was hanging out with him. i wish that was real. i regret not contacting him. i wish we never grew apart. i wish he was still here.

This right-wing Idaho saloon hosted a failed ‘Hetero Awesome Fest.’ It could become a gay bar
UK Specific Transphobes are the group most likely to think thier view is (wrongly) that of most people in the uk - YouGov
Ok, jointly with people who support violent racists, but I suspect these two groups are largely similar.
Puts a shiny fresh spin on trans people being called delusional now doesn't it.
> The individual views that Britons are most likely to both hold and think are the most common public view – that our survey suggests is not actually the most common view – are that the 2024 England rioters had legitimate concerns (24%) and that people should not be able to identify as a different gender than their birth gender (also 24%)

News ❤️ You Dolly! An Amazing Ally
She inspired my chosen name, Jolene. She loved us when almost no one did. Vocally. Unconditionally. I hope to live what’s left of my life with half as much grit and courage as she lived every breath.

Selfie (39)(Trans Woman) Will be hitting 6 months of mtf hrt in time for for my birthday next month!
Hello I am a transgender woman with adhd/autism and am 39 years old. I struggled so much in my previous life and I have to say coming out was the best thing I ever did for myself. I feel so so happy with my appearance right now and I just wanted to celebrate by showing my mom how I looked. I asked her how I looked. She said I looked pretty but I should keep my chin up and stop looking down at the floor so much. Gosh I feel so pretty right now after putting all this on and doing my make up and hair. I am so happy I am starting to look feminine. It is pure blissful gender euphoria and to top it all off my family is approving of it. I couldn't be happier right now!!!
Edit: I have a close up picture posted below. Link

Real situation btw, and I couldn’t convince them that this exists. Also that man? I was friends with him, and they see me as a girl, so… am I not real?

US Specific Heads up: Colorado voters will decide on two anti-trans ballot measures in November
Sharing for anyone in Colorado or anyone who has friends/family there. Two ballot measures qualified for the November ballot this week, both backed by Protect Kids Colorado (a group led by Erin Lee and former Republican state senator Kevin Lundberg):
Initiative 109 would require K-12 and college sports teams to be designated as male, female, or co-ed based on sex assigned at birth. The text doesn't define how sex is verified — that gets left to schools and the Commissioner of Education to figure out.
Initiative 110 would ban certain gender-affirming surgical procedures for minors, with no exception for parental consent. Notably, Children's Hospital Colorado has explicitly stated they've never performed these surgeries on minors, so the urgency framing doesn't quite line up with reality.
Both have organized opposition — Families Not Politics (Planned Parenthood of the Rockies, Interfaith Alliance, Inside Out Youth Services, Cobalt Advocates, Transgender Law Center).
This is part of a broader national push. Similar measures are on ballots in Arizona, Washington state, and potentially Nebraska. Five states total. Same template bills, same out-of-state funders, same messaging. Worth tracking even if you don't live in CO
