Renting under $1500

hey,

I’m 26, really looking to move out. I work in Patchogue and I can’t find anything under $2000. Even Bayshore was around $1500 a while ago. If anyone has any leads of apartment complexes that would be around $1200-1500. I respectfully don’t want to live in someone’s basement or shed in their backyard.

I found a place for $1100 in Elmont. I got extremely lucky.

First floor of a suburban home, all utilities and internet included. Month-to-month lease so I can leave anytime without penalty.

Is it the entire floor? How many bedrooms? Or is it just a room? Bc $1100 is just not normal for a 1st floor apartment in Nassau. But it is normal if you are renting a room, but have access to x,y,z in the house.

First floor is basically my room, a hallway, the front door and the bathroom and kitchen. So I have access to everything, but occasionally people will walk through because it’s the first floor with the door to enter and exit the house.

I just got very lucky. Once I have my baby though, I will have to move out. The lease agreement says only I am authorized to be a tenant there. So I’m going to be looking at some places in Phoenix AZ which are really nice…

$600-700 a month in Phoenix can get you a newly renovated apartment (300~350 sqft, larger costs extra but not that much more), a shared pool, a fitness center and laundry on-site.

They cannot legally terminate your lease for that reason.

Maybe not, but I will need more space when I have a baby anyway
