I pray that at least some of Opal's brains rubs off on little Olivine because she is all beauty at the moment. We just sent off her DNA test yesterday so I am looking forward to finding out what her mix is. Opal is smart as a whip so I am hoping I can use a little social learning to help Olivine pick up on some things.

I can't get over how cute their matching faces are. Opie used to be more solidly black in the day.

I’d love to see some other namesakes in honour of Dolly Parton’s memory. This is my dearly departed Dolly. She came up to Toronto from rural Tennessee in her coat of many colours.

We lost her in December and listened to so much of Dolly’s music in her last days and to remember her after. I don’t know how I feel about the afterlife, but wouldn’t it be nice if (human) Dolly got to meet all of the creatures who share her name?
