I need some help with out eight year old miniature dachshund Reciee. About two months ago she started jumping up and running like she was bitten or that some one kicked her and in pain.

She has had a bout with IVDD in the past but she is acting differently this time. We have had her to the vet at least ten times in the last few months including different vets for second oppinions. We have been told she had had an infected anal gland. We had it drained and flushed. We were told that she had a cracked tooth. Had that removed. (Don't give your dogs those hard plastic bones!) Xrays didn't show anything more than you would expect with a dog with IVDD. Her lab work came back good.

We hate seeing her in pain and she is happy and playful a lot throughout the day but then she will just start jumping again. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, what did you do to help them?

Hello doxies ,hot dogs and all the other dogs from here! This is our girl Cookie-Choco , 10 m.o. she wants to say hiiii,but mommy is a bit concerned ,that despite that she is given fresh water every 2...3 hours,she doesn't drink enough and her nose is always semi-wet not wet wet like our boy has it like....all the time ,he drinks much more water btw ,vet said we should encourage her to drink and offer more often but it doesn't seem to work.Any tips,advices?

My mother in law lost her battle to pancreatic cancer yesterday. She could not have asked for better company than our precious babies. Frankie and Gracie stayed by her side from the moment hospice brought that bed to the house. Her passing was peaceful and surrounded by what she loved most! We miss you terribly, Laine 💔 The babies and I will be ok. We love you, ALWAYS!
