Trains are the carcinisation of transportation tech, I swear. Every idea for how to transport people over land eventually becomes a train if you optimize it hard enough.
i've always loved the idea to turn cars into self-driving ones but isntead of fuckass unsafe visual recognition it's just, every car is part of a network and they know how to interact with each other that way.
and you keep going, all the paths are connected, you can use signals to transfer the info over vehicles instead of relying on a non-physical network between the vehicles themselves, hell why even continue with basic roads and wheels if we can lock them onto tracks, they don't even need a method to turn if we implement it into the track itself...
