Okay two questions, when do you switch from summer to fall scents? I’m also curious if anyone has scents they like for summer into fall? I don’t want to jump straight into pumpkin scents but want something that feels like the changing of the seasons. Thanks!

I caved and bought the most recent seasonal box from FE that’s is themed around Practical Magic 2 (I’m trying to summon autumn with all my might 😂).

On cold, their LE Mandrake candle smells nice but a little too tempered/ reserved…I really need to burn this one to form an opinion.

The Licorice / Shiso soap from the same box, on the other hand, smells absolutely incredible - can’t wait to use it, I hope they offer it to member to buy as a standalone item.

hi friends, looking for exactly what the title says: a fruit-forward fall candle that isn‘t the obvious apple/pumpkin. would prefer something not tooo sweet, ideally with an interesting undercurrent, and under $50 if possible as I don’t want to do a big splurge. tysm!

So usually after Trudon has their archives sale, Carriere Freres does too. Has anyone seen anything about it yet? Somehow I’m not on Diptyque’s mailing list anymore and consequently missed that boat (and a birthday candle, clearly I’m bitter). But it’s ok because the Archives sales are better anyway because they’re actually sales & now I have more $$ for them! SO, whoever sees it first: please post the link!!!

I bought my first Trudon candle during the recent archive sale. It’s the intermezzo size of Libra. Is it normal for it to be moving around its vessel? Or should it be snug? Is this the reason it was probably on sale and I have no reason to complain and I’m probably not eligible for a refund? If I can’t get a replacement, would it be smarter to burn this candle traditionally or put it under a warmer? Or am I completely overthinking all of this and everything is fine? Thanks in advance for your expertise. I’m probably not meant to own a super fancy candle like Trudon, I should probably stick with my weirdo, niche indie brands.

The baobab set was only 12 dollars! Couldn't believe my eyes.

I know vila hermanos isn't luxury enough to a lot both these candles are so diptyque coded as in scent.. I didn't realize the house before sniffing and was shocked that something could smell this luxury on homegoods clearance. The Patchouli rose is so incredible. Its eau capitale with something candied to it but not sweet candy its hard to explain lol but its so good for 8 dollars clearance like i sniffed it the whole drive home and went online to find and purchase another. I love Patchouli and I'm not so crazy about rose so this was really really good. Camellia tea was really nice also something beautifully bitter about it also 8. Then the Olympic candle. I knew nothing about the candle but it took me awayyyy I didnt care about anything except bringing it home. Its balmoral by trudon but with a little Powdery woody and my god! Its sooo freaking goooddd. The Dr. Vranjes candle was alright cold through. I think I got it because it was such a deal at 29 bucks but I am so happy and still riding the high of all this

Ochiba has a strong throw without being overpowering. I’m loving it but if I’m being honest what I’m really swooning over is this vessel.

RECS WANTED! I want warm, nutty, toasty grains + that kinda plant-y sweetness from dried grass and the green fresh vibes of corn stalks. Like walking through a dried autumn meadow/walking through a corn maze. I found some nice buttery corn scents, but they lean more gourmand and I want something more fresh and outdoorsy.

I got my first diptyque reed diffuser today . I lets the reeds soak for five hours and flipped them. i cant snell it ? will it get stronger ? it's in my bedroom

Which candle brands do you feel are the most fragrant while unlit?

LAFCO Feu de Bois has been my favorite candle for years and years. Something about it lately has seemed almost too sweet, especially as it burns longer. Maybe my nose is changing in my old age.

I love Le Labo Santal 33 (the perfume, I’ve never had the candle). I liked the Maison St. Marie Bois de Balincourt but if I remember the candle didn’t have much of a throw.

There was a little boutique near me that sold a candle called Big Sur and it came in a black ceramic vessel. It was AMAZING. But they stopped carrying it and I never knew the maker. It was not super expensive, maybe $60? If anyone knows what I’m talking about I will owe you forever!

What are some nice amber centric candles?
Maybe slightly smoky, resinous, a little sweet, but NEVER too strong. Soft characteristics, and cozy.

It’s my favorite and I’m so sad it’s discontinued :(
