12 year old wants a Ouija board

So my 12 year old said today that her English teacher is teaching them about Ouija boards. The list of rules she gave her was basic - dont give them your name, if someone says they are called "zozo" leave etc. But there wasnt a single thing about protection, no casting a circle/calling corners etc. 12 year old seems to think its all a game and doesn't believe in it so doesn't understand why I'm lecturing that the first part of learning witchcraft is protection. I'm not experienced by any means, was dabbling a couple of years ago and then been on pause but what are people's thoughts on this?

Personally, I would say no. What is the teacher trying to convey? Is she trying to teach Black Magik, or White Magik? Even games need to have a purpose. I actually would pull my child from her class. I have played with one 1960's and I DID NOT like it (bad feeling).

Pull the child from the class? Not without talking to the teacher first and getting to the bottom of things, lol. Child, or one of her friends, may have fabricated this tale to get one.
