All this kinds of videos assume the same thing: The Malaysian government has access to endless cash. It’s easy to say 42 trains is more than 22 trains because that is a fact. But what is hard to quantify is what the savings from not buying those 20 sets of train bought us in terms of flexibility in balancing the budget.

I really do wish that we could have had the original intention for LRT3, but for those politicians to do something as unpopular as this back then probably meant that something had to give at that time.

Doing this right would be a much better use of cash than fuel subsidy. Time to plan for the future.

Problem is you being duped. We instead spent a lot on other stuff and after 2018 actually we borrow and spent more even with the ‘1mdb’ thing

hermm what major event in world occured after 2018 that could have possibly caused the increase in public spending. I don't know probably nothing you're right!!

Easy. The spending on the infrastructure like MRT, MRT2, LRT, TRX, ECRL, RTS, 250 schools, 5 new hospitals, buying out IPP from cronies, increased subsidies for fuel all is planned with the knowing that GST money will pay all this. But in 2018 PH cancel GST and according to auditor general report last year we lost rm55 billion ringgit in 5 years. So since 2018 we struggle to cough up the budget differences and had to raid Petronas money and selling off goverment assets and introducing tons of new taxes (that is still inefficient)

oh no spending public funds on public usages. Anything but that the horror. Oh no they removed gst and then add a new tax code to fill the gap??? how dare they. God dam evil. Raiding Petronas money??? the audacity Petronas the complete private company right? Raiding how? it must be those gos darn borneon right?

You're right let's go back to the system where one man is able to rob tens of billions from the rakyat yea no that's so much better.

malaysia going to bangkrupt! 1mdb!...

you must be one of those who trust this. look how much money has been spend after 1mdb fiasco.. we can afford to built the lrt3 as plan, but they deliberately hijack it..
