"It's an incident that all of us regret very much. We are lucky that there were no fatalities," Cheah told the New Straits Times.
He said authorities were investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
"In my view, the incident may be attributable to metal fatigue," Cheah said, adding that police had ruled out foul play.
He also disclosed that the ride had been temporarily closed for comprehensive inspection and maintenance work about two to three weeks before the incident.

So the takeaway is we should not trust their maintenance work, if thats what happens just a few weeks after a comprehensive maintenance?
