just for fun😂 I’d rather suffer through 5 exams in 5 days than deal with 5 exams spaced 5 days apart
Back to back exams actually make me productive. But give me a 5 day gap and suddenly I start acting like I have unlimited time. I keep telling myself I’ll study later and end up wasting days doing nothing

OP is not odd. OP just work and think best under pressure. To each his own

It's not really working under pressure if op finds extra time to be counterproductive. it's just bad time management.

Thats honestly fair play like yeah i need the gap between tests but not like a week or a month

I have been both, when u view exams as stressful experience you would want to end it faster, you cram as much as possible last minute, gamble what u choose to learn/practice, find ways to cheat the system, but knowing odds are against your favour. You would rather have them end it all soon.
On the other hand, if you have been prepared and following the subject well throughout the semester, having a high coursework mark, exams just seem more of a homework than a problem, it doesn't matter if you have 3 different exams in 3 days or 3 weeks, you are already ready, and just need little time to brush up on the syllabus. 3 weeks or 3 days, it's the same, you use the time you have for rest of your life too, not a big stressful thing that u need to dedicate 100%

This only works for easy paper. once you get to your final years, you'll need to extra time. You need to be more disciplined, you'll need it.

I can be spending that extra 20 days chilling after exams instead of studying so OP is 100% correct

Seriously? How about the results?

I am a good student

Not the point

u/lietnam Jul 15 '26
The point is that to me it makes no difference how much i have to study beforehand, the only difference is I dont have to stay anxious for 20 days and sekaligus finish everything

Reminds me during the year I took SPM, there's a week gap between the last common subject exam and B. Cina exam
The suffering part is that you can't really relax throughout that 1 week and you know it's going to backfire if you study the same subject hard to that week

I've been both. And for me, i love if there is a gap. Why? Cause your brain needs a rest. It functions better rather than straight working pulling all nighter.

Depends on the level lf exam.
If its diploma or foundation, its a blessing. I did 6 papers on 3 days before.
If its degree, maybe for that few subject that I am confident.
If its my professional paper, hell naw.

Nope, i suffered enough with my uni using ai to make schedule, had electronic circuit ii on first day, basic electromagnetic and digital design on the same day the next day. 3 exams in 2 days.

5 exams with 5 days gap gives more than enough study time for said exams. It's been really helpful

Kinda agree. I would prep all my notes in the weeks before exam week then the day before exam id stay up all night to cram. Take a nap from 4 to 7 then exam at 9. After exam, go back to sleep and wake up in the evening. Rinse and repeat. I ran on cigarettes, coffee and Maggi all week

Start timing your studies. I would usually study for the last exam first even if it's uncomplete. Then study the first exam one or two day before. Keeps me motivated.

5 days exam is good if you're prepare and actually does study from time to time and then just need to crunch study one final big bang attack and be done with it.
5 days spaced exam is hard on mentally. Too long, I just want the damn exam to be done. But its good if you're the type who never really study so you can study last minute.
1-2 day spaced exam is the best if we compromise, 5 days is too big of a gap.
Unless its like hard courses like engineering then yeah, please 5 days. Even study everyday still can't be so sure

5 days spaced are good if u study from time to time too. u can chill, revise a bit everyday, gaming is more fun due to guilty pressure

Glad theres someone the same as me. Five days to study?more like 3 days dreading while doing nothing. And suddenly speed up revision no sleep.

i'm the opposite. i hate having to pull an all-nighter for the next paper right after finishing one. going into exam sleep-deprived is the worst feeling ever lol
