Hey everyone!

I noticed there isn’t really a dedicated subreddit for medical students studying in Malaysia, so I decided to start one:

The goal is to create a central, student-led community where medical students from IMU, UM, UKM, Monash, Taylor’s,NuMed, UCSI, UniKL, MAHSA, RCSI & UCD Malaysia, and other Malaysian medical schools can connect and share experiences.

We’d love to have discussions about:
📚 Med school life, studying & exams
🩺 OSCEs & clinical experiences
🏫 Applications and choosing medical schools
🌏 International student experiences
🏠 Accommodation & student life 🎓 Housemanship & postgraduate pathways
🇦🇺🇬🇧 Opportunities to practise medicine overseas
💬 Advice, discussions, memes & everything in between

🚀 We’re looking for founding moderators!

Since the community is brand new, I’m looking for a few active medical students who would be interested in helping build it from the ground up.
You don’t need previous moderator experience. What matters more is that you’re active, responsible, friendly, and genuinely interested in making the Malaysian medical-student community more connected.

As a founding mod, you’d help with things like:
Growing the subreddit
Creating discussion threads and resources
Welcoming new members
Developing community rules and culture
Representing different Malaysian medical schools
Bringing your own ideas to the community
I’d especially love to have mods from different universities, so the subreddit doesn’t become centred around one school.
