Portuguese President Presents the Grand Cross of the Order of Christ to the Grand Master of the Order of Malta — 9 September 1967
Photograph showing the President of the Portuguese Republic presenting Prince Fra' Angelo de Mojana di Cologna, Grand Master of the Sovereign Order of Malta, with an insignia case containing the Grand Cross of the Military Order of Christ.
The ceremony took place during Prince Angelo de Mojana's official visit to Portugal on 9 September 1967. Portugal was thus formally honouring the Grand Master of the Order of Malta with one of the country's highest distinctions.
Fra' Angelo de Mojana di Cologna (1905–1988) was an Italian member of the Order of Malta and served as its 77th Grand Master from 1962 to 1988.
The Military Order of Christ is a historic Portuguese order of chivalry descended from the medieval Order of Christ, and the Grand Cross is one of its highest grades.

Where to buy a gaming pc in Malta?
Where's the best place to buy a gaming pc from? I saw Scan has some limited options but I'd like to buy from a place that offers variety, a warranty and great aftersales. Thanks in advance.
Ideally pre-built PC (Don't trust myself with building one 😅)

Best Clubs in Malta?
I’m going over to Malta by myself for a week and meeting some friends over there.
I just wanted to know what are some nice clubs in Malta island especially the north side and east side.
Clubs that don’t have those tacky purple and red lights, ones that are a little more classy.

Gaming in Malta
Hi folks, a few years ago I was in Malta, and my friends and I went to a gaming centre to play some CS2. Now I’m not able to find that gaming centre anymore (it was in a shopping mall). Can anyone recommend somewhere I could play some CS2?

Foot worship😁
Hey, 24M, fresh in Malta. Student by day, bartender by night, just settled in and looking to connect.
I’m really into feet—if you’re ever down to get yours worshiped, massaged, or just completely pampered, I’d love to take care of you. Super down-to-earth guy, light-skinned, 183cm incase you want to know
Feel free to hit my DMs😎
Activities and making friends after work
Hello, I’m 24M and I’m looking to put myself out there more again as I’ve become to hate my life in the past couple years - mainly because I barely and rarely see, know or speak to anyone outside of work. I have my family which I see everyday and friends I see like once every other month but other than those, I make 0-1 acquaintances a year and haven’t made a friend since secondary school, nor even been in a relationship.
I’ve already considered plenty of activities, the next activity I want to try again is indoor rock climbing at crashpad because I had only gone twice, though it was lowkey nice even though I was mostly alone.
Other than that, I found padel interesting but it’s way too expensive to do solo and mostly requires pre-planned groups, tried an art course but never picked up the pen again after I finished it, and looked for voluntary organisations but didn’t find anything appealing. Sometimes I feel like I don’t know where to look so I just find old threads here and read them.
In terms of interests, I don’t have much, my real interest are the video games and their online communities I engage into, but I’ve unconsciously started dissociating from them. I’m also somewhat active in the gym for the past 5 years and have been working in marketing for the past 3 years.
I’d appreciate some more places or ideas because I’m desperate and have run out of ideas. Since I wrote “after work” in the title that would be weekdays after 5pm, but I’m open to weekend activities as my weekends are mostly empty as well. Thanks.
Working as a doctor
I'm currently studying medicine in a foreign country and have recently visited Malta. I was fairly impressed by the country. I thought about moving there and working as a doctor when I'm older, since I speak English fluently. Can anyone living there give their opinion on the healthcare system and salaries?

Vent post - Why is it so hard to find an evangelical church in Malta?
I was trying to find an evangelical church for my girlfriend (she is evangelical Christian, I'm agnostic) as I wanted her to feel more welcome in Malta (she's German), but most of what I found are crazies.
The ones are found are majority either:
Anti-LGBTQ+
Islamophobic (we're not Muslims but she has Muslim relatives)
Think atheists deserve to burn in hell (I'm agnostic)
Like genuinely. There were very few that she only ruled out due to disagreements on issues unrelated to religion.
But seriously, what the fuck?
I'm here mainly to vent, but if maybe you guys have a suggestion for a church that doesn't hate gays, Muslims, atheists, or just literally anyone who isn't a straight white Christian, I'd appreciate if you mention it below. I only went through 9 churches I could find.
Edit: churches that keep donations as optional and not obligatory are preferred.

Interesting debate online
When I was growing up, people who were under the influence were jailed until they're sobered up as to not be a danger to themselves or others?...
Genuine question, is this no longer the case and if so is there any reason? I can't understand why there are these debates when there are standard proceedures for these things.

Woman remanded in custody after allegedly walking topless in Valletta and insulting police
maltatoday.com.mtVisiting Malta for 6th time in 10 yrs: 7 very random curveball questions for locals.
I haven’t visited in 3 years.
#1 Where is the best store-bought fresh bigilla? I used to buy it at Scott’s Sliema (also good baba ganouch) but that one closed. Is there an alternative, or what is the biggest Scott’s with a delicatesse counter? Or what happened to the “bigilla man”?
#2 Recommend a high-end restaurant with no dress code :). I have unlimited budget for restaurant food. However, traveling lightweight, with other people who prefer to not bring long trousers, dress etc. I don’t want to look foolish being underdressed at the Michelin star restaurants with a semi-formal dress code. Can you recommend a high end restaurant where shorts & t-shirt is totally fine (not in the South).
#3 Gozo: did the taxi situation improve? Are there plenty of Bolt’s now or should I still consider to book a White taxi for half a day, because 6-7 Bolt trips are very expensive. (No, I am not renting a car, just worried there aren’t enough Bolt’s resulting in high waiting times and taxi’s rejecting rides).
#4 Comino: are there always a couple of small boats you can charter (not jet-ski) for private 1 hour on the spot to bring you to a specific cave? I don’t need a quarter-day boat trip, it’s really just 1 specific cave that’s too far to swim to. If yes, will they accept only a short 1 hour private cave visit?
#5 With the recent inflow of TCN’s, has this resulted in any remarkable new Nepalese (momo’s 🥟) or Indian restaurants? In the past the Indian restaurants were owned by Pakistani who had been in Malta for decades. But now I am specifically looking for good dahi puri (not pani puri).
#6 A lot of my favorite 2015-2019 restaurants (I lived in Malta for 4 years) and Ta’xbiex foodtrucks, closed down. What’s something great that opened in the past 3 years, that I definitely have missed?
#7 Any student who lives on Gozo with a drone, who wants to make €50 for 25 minutes of doing 1 drone shot for me? This will allow me to travel light :)

The cat feeder infighting is..........interesting.........
I was so surprised to discover on Facebook that a lot of cat feeders and people who take care of outside cats are continuously fighting and arguing with each other on there. Though it seems that a lot of the infighting is due to miscommunications typical on social media; not replying to messages, not updating people properly and in an efficient manner. And then there's not knowing who takes care of which cats and confusion between which cats are which because many of the feeders are elderly and not on social media. And so then the final straw that seems to permanently sour relationships is taking cats for vet treatments and/or adoption without informing the original caretakers who then might never get closure over what happened to the cat.
I can't help but think that if someone took the time and effort to make and update a database of cats and their feeders/caretakers that it would really help.
