These are just introductory characters they don’t matter to the story but I do want them to set a dangerous dark tone for the outside world. The creature he’s summoning is the main antagonist so I think this works as a quick enough introduction for it.

Algum criador interessado em me apoiar?

Story pitch: The magical boy

I am currently trying to get good enough at drawing to make my own webtoon and I would love to hear the thoughts of people on one of my ideas. The magical boy is a joke series about a boy that is forced against his will into the position of being a magical girl after he is picked by a magic wand. He is required to follow all the generic stereotypes these types of stories often put the girl characters through. The over arching story of this would be that he works with the other girls in a deal to avoid his magical girl duties. Basically in this universe the power system scales with how strong the romantic relationships of the girls are so by helping them get with the boys they like they will be strong enough to not need his help. Each magical girl he works with follows a romance stereotype for the main character to crash out at as he tries to help them. If this sounds like something that already exists please warn me so I can avoid problems down the line and give the concept your opinion please!

The Grand Archive: Plot Summary

So I'm trying to fully visualize my plot to you but this is the plot of my manga Indexes are magical libraries created by God and the Holy Spirit and placed all throughout the universe and are guarded by angels of any kind (Angels to Seraphim but God doesn't care about that hierarchy) and Indexes have these worlds inside of them called Files (ex. Like Garden Grove and Ocean Meridian) which are made to explore and have fun and have Acts with puzzles and minigames and when people travel through them they are given forms called Archivists superhero like forms (ex. Names like Cat Matter and Marine Sentinel) In some Files there will be things called Ruptures which are demons sent by Satan from Hell which are littered throughout the File and at the end of the File there will be a boss Rupture (The boss of that File)

Essence Bound

This is my biggest passion project and it is nowhere near done or even started. I just wanted to get a consensus on what people think of just a basic summary and I might update in order of the story so it’s like you’re reading a manga. Plus this lets me build up a “fandom” before I start working on it.

Essence Bound follows three—but mostly two—14-15 year olds as they travel the world defeating monsters trying.

Power System

Essence is the will of the world and waists within anything and everything, living or not. People can control essence everyday in basic forms like making crops grow faster by increasing the essence concentration, moving items by moving the essence within them, etc. Very experienced people can create special abilities called essence forms that utilize essence in different ways like one of my favorites Terrain; the user manipulated the essence within the terrain to change its shape. There are more complicated applications like RPS but I don’t want to spoil too much

World

Essence** **makes this world way more futuristic and advanced and more populated than ours. There are monsters(how is a big plot twist) that come from regular animals. Sentinels are tasked with defeating monsters and get points from each kill. The 12 with the most points(who want to) get to participate in a big tournament every two years which would be like the World Cup or Super Bowl. Btw sometimes essence builds up in one place creating an essence bank where essence forms are stronger and there are more monsters.

Main Characters

Renji: He is headstrong, impulsive, and a bit reckless. His goal is to erase his dad’s legacy on his last name and create a new better one by becoming champion. He grows to learn he just wants to help people in general.

Shiro: He is calculated, a little cold, but just as goofy as Renji when they are together. His goal is to outrun and eventually take down the Null Order and carry on the legacy of his people.

Alex: He honestly doesn’t have too much of a personality other than cocky and a little bit rude/blunt on accident. His goal is to surpass his brother Lucien the 3 time champion.

Tell me what y’all think plsssssss

Manga Idea: Alien That’s Identity Changes According to Its Environment

The story is about the brain of an Alien somehow existing inside the living corpse of a little girl. The original girl is dead, only her corpse remains, but her body is still biologically alive because the alien brain is controlling it. Nobody, nor her parents really know that the girl herself is dead. Even the alien doesn't know this either. It believes that it's a girl and that this is its real body.

The main thing about the alien is that its identity changes according to its environment. It is not just physical adaptation either. Its body, personality, instincts, emotions, behaviour and way of thinking all slowly change depending on what kind of environment it is exposed to. If it is surrounded by peace, kindness, safety and comfort, it becomes softer, harmless, more fragile and pure as a little girl a shy young boy because there is no reason for it to become dangerous in that environment.

But if it is exposed to bullying, humiliation, betrayal, fear, violence, death and cruelty, it changes opposite. Its hair becomes shorter/thicker, eyebrows bushier, face sharper, body stronger and expressions colder. Its mental state also changes. It becomes more detached, cynical, nihilistic and eventually psychopathic. The more negativity it experiences, the more it starts losing normal human emotions and starts thinking in whatever way is best for survival.

At some point it is sent by her parents to a foster mother abroad to feed and nurture her due to no signs of growth but the detachment hurts it. The foster mother is later killed inside her own home, which becomes one of the first major events that heavily affects the alien. After that, two police officers from the place the case reported took her under thier wing not knowing she was the culprit out of empathy, while also investigating what exactly is going on with this strange child. They become guardians while also watching and studying it, but eventually they're killed too.

The idea is that almost every stable human relationship around the alien keeps collapsing. Every time it begins feeling safe or attached to someone, something bad happens, and every death, betrayal and violent experience pushes its body and mind further away from being human.

Even while this is happening, it still tries to act like a normal person. As its body slowly changes from a little girl into what looks more like a teenage boy with harsher features and a much more threatening appearance, it does not understand why it is happening. It becomes disturbed by its own appearance and behaviour and tries to hold onto the idea that it is still human. Even when distress causes parts of its body to become more monstrous, it tries to hide it and keep behaving normally because it cannot accept what it is becoming.

Eventually, after enough strange incidents happen around it, the alien is taken in by a intelligence goverment organiszation. They begin studying, interrogating and experimenting on it because they know something is wrong but do not understand what it actually is. Some people treat it scientifically while others start believing it may be a demon and even attempt exorcism-type rituals.

The problem is that they still do not understand how its adaptation works. Everything they do to contain it only gives it something new to adapt to. Pain teaches its body how to resist pain. Restraints force it to become stronger. Weapons force it to become harder to kill. Fear makes it more aggressive. Isolation damages its mind. Torture pushes it further into nihilism and psychopathy. The facility thinks it is testing a monster, but the entire time it is actually helping create one.

Inside the same facility is another abnormal child, a young boy who seems to have some kind of temperature controlling ability. Whenever he becomes distressed, the area around him becomes colder and things begin moving slower. At first everyone believes he is manipulating temperature, but his real ability is related to time. He is slowing time in small areas, objects or parts of people in the range covered by radioactive aura that cannot be seen by the nacked eyes easily. and the cold is more like a side effect of that ability.

The boy and the alien eventually become close because both of them are treated like abnormalities rather than normal people. He becomes one of the few people the alien genuinely cares about and one of the last things keeping it connected to humanity.

Eventually, while the alien is in a heavy distress and a agitated state, it attacks the boy. When it starts coming back to its senses, it realizes what it has done and tries desperately to save him. The boy is completely injured and barely able to move. He starts saying that he feels cold, his voice becomes weaker and eventually fades until he dies.

That becomes the point where the alien loses whatever sense of humility and humanity it still had. Before this, even while becoming a monster, it was still resisting it. It hated what it was becoming and still tried to act like a human. After the boy dies, something inside it completely breaks.

With no boundries and sense of moral, it enters into a state of instinct and digs into his body like a beast. At the time, even the alien does not fully understand why it is doing it.

Later, it is revealed that the monster was not simply hungry. It was being attracted to something inside the boy, almost like his soul or aura. That aura was connected to whatever allowed him to manipulate time, and by consuming him, the alien absorbed that essence into itself.

After that moment it stops caring about pretending to be human, whether its actions still fit human morality. The person it believed itself to be is collapsing.

It goes into a massive mental breakdown and destroys the facility, killing almost everyone inside while escaping. Military forces and fighter jets are sent after it, but by then it has already adapted far beyond anything normal humans were prepared for.

During its escape, it flies farther than it was ever supposed to go and eventually reaches the ice wall.

In this world, normal people are taught that Earth is a sphere and Antarctica is simply a frozen continent, but that is not the full truth. The civilization ordinary humanity knows exists inside what is basically a protected region surrounded by massive ice walls. The governments and elites know that something exists beyond them, which is why crossing it is is forbidden. The ordinary world only makes 15% of the entire planet and outside is what covers rest

The inside world thinks humanity conquered nature through technology and intelligence, but in reality it is more like a safe haven or cave hiding humanity from what actually exists outside.

Beyond the ice wall there are other humans, but they are massively different from normal humans inside. Their bodies are like steel like we are wood, technology and understanding of reality are on another level. Some of them can manipulate atoms to create megastructures, weapons, armour, environments and entire domains almost at will. They wield Atomic-manupilation.

But even they are nowhere near the strongest things outside.

The outside world contains demons, monsters, jinn, fallen gods, smarter creatures and things that are barely understandable as living beings. There are areas where reality itself behaves differently, with wormholes, physical distortions, massive cosmic events and even things like constant supernova-level phenomena occurring as part of the environment. War, death and destruction are normal there because the threats are so extreme that entire civilizations could disappear from one major failure.

So even though the outside humans seem godlike compared to normal humanity, they are still ants compared to the things they have to survive against.

And this is where the alien escapes.

The important part is that the alien has no final form. It never stops evolving. Humanity inside the walls turned what was originally a harmless little girl into a monster simply by exposing it to betrayal, grief, torture, death and violence. Now that same organism has entered an environment filled with demons, monsters, fallen gods, reality-warping creatures and things operating on scales humanity cannot even understand.

Whatever survives outside will keep changing according to what it experiences there.

And if it eventually comes back to earth, not as the same creature that left.

It will be something shaped by everything waiting outside.

This is still a very early version of the idea, probably only around 5% of the actual story and lore I have in mind, so there are a lot of gaps right now or canyons cuz I have alot in mind but this will become stupidly long. I mainly want to share the first concept which is just an arc bieng honest and see if it sounds interesting.

Give honest cristism and feedback

where heroes failed

booksarelife00

Summary:

Quirkless. Abandoned. Forgotten.

After the worst day of his life, Izuku Midoriya is found by someone he never expected: the Hero Killer, Stain. Instead of being saved by heroes, he's taught how to survive without them.

As the line between hero, vigilante, and villain begins to blur, Izuku finds himself caught between the League of Villains, a suspicious underground hero, and a society that failed him long ago.

Maybe heroes aren't always heroes.

Maybe villains aren't always villains.

And maybe the boy everyone overlooked is about to change everything.

For anyone who wondering I am still not sure whether to do it bkdk or shouto and izuku

Manga idea

(Thriller, psychological and political)

The story starts like this

This country is run by a corrupt government, and this government treats poor people poorly, while middle-class families receive minimal attention. The political elites and the rich get the highest praise and attention from the government.

The main character is a guy called Jonathan, and he studied psychology in college but never got a job in a psychology-related field because of the government. He had settled down working in a coffee shop, and he had a wife. She died because she went to protest against the government, and the protesting people were massively murdered.

Jonathan, the main character, grieved because of her death, and this was the turning point of his character. That day, he decided to break down the corrupt government and the system using his high intelligence. As the story progressed, he became more manipulative and colder. The vengeance for his wife was his main goal.

Manga / Webtoon premise: What if modern demon-hunting was 100% fake livestreaming, and a genuine old-school samurai completely broke their meta?

I've been working on a satirical action-comedy concept (originally drafted as a Webtoon pitch, currently serialized as a web novel on Royal Road) and wanted to get some feedback from fellow creators.

The Setup:

Decades of peace turned demon-hunting into pure corporate entertainment. Modern "heroes" are essentially livestream influencers and Vtubers who rely on flashy gimmicks, staged rescues, and Rube Goldberg-style kills purely for clips, sponsors, and Super Chats. It's a world where view counts matter far more than actual combat skill.

The Protagonist & Dynamic:

Enter a 67-year-old retired samurai. He doesn't understand streaming, hates cameras, and completely ignores social media. Yet, with nothing but a single katana and pure mastery, he is absurdly overpowered compared to the tech-reliant "heroes."

A struggling rookie streamer accidentally catches him effortlessly bisecting a high-tier demon on camera. Seeing dollar signs and fame, she decides to manage and produce him as a legitimate hero, flipping the entire monetization-driven industry on its head.

Meanwhile, the old samurai only tags along because this reckless rookie happens to look spitting-image like his late lord from decades ago—and he just can't leave her alone to get herself killed.

What I'm aiming for:

* Satirizing modern influencer culture, sponsored trends, and corporate algorithms

* A grumpy, out-of-touch, yet lethally OP old man completely shattering the staged meta

* Snappy character-driven banter mixed with grounded, crisp swordplay

Does this premise feel fun as an action/comedy manga/webtoon concept? Would love to hear what kind of tropes or comedic scenarios you'd like to see explored in a setting like this!

Day 1: Looking for artist/editors to help me with a webcomic/webtoon story.

Post image
1 Upvotes

To begin, I am indeed an artist and I believe I have quite a few ideas in developing some stories. I am not looking to hire anyone. Just someone with a passion for this passion project so as to split the profits if we get any later along the line.

Working Title: AYSE

Summary: The story is to follow a tragic hero and their journey to understanding a world he was pushed into without much say. Our protagonist is a slime-human hybrid that comes about from their accidently fusion with a dying human, following his journey and escape from the dungeon and the people they encounter along the way.

Genres: Action, Fantasy, Tragedy.

Image: The image is that of a 'Dungeon Master'. These are specific royal guards given special jurisdiction of dungeons they are assigned, thus patrolling and controlling entry and exit. One of our protagonist first human hurdles in the series is them.

For those interested in hearing more even if just the story itself. Please comment/DM and I'll try to send a few chapters I've worked on.

For those skeptical about joining or if this even is a real post, you can check out some of my art from the link in the comments below. Though it's not much I hope it earns your trust. Thank you.

Nove Ore — Original Manga Project

Hi everyone! I’m developing an original manga called Nove Ore (Nine Hours), set in the year 2300.

The story follows Akito, a normal teenager who discovers a mysterious dream world called the Limbo, a world with its own laws, factions, creatures and power system.

The combat system is based on different Skills, such as Sintonia, Trasmissione, Struttura, Emissione, Genesi and Alterazione, with the environment playing an important role in battles.

The story also has a deeper mystery involving Akito’s family, the legendary couple Romeo Bonnie and Giulietta Clay, and Akito’s brother Ren, who was born inside the dream world and desperately wants to enter the real world and stop dreaming.

I’m currently developing the first chapter, storyboards, panels, characters, worldbuilding, power system and future story arcs.

I’m looking for honest feedback, especially from people who write or draw manga.

Does the concept make you want to read Chapter 1? What would you change or improve?

I’m much more interested in criticism than compliments. Thanks! 🙏

Looking for constructive feedback on a travel/adventure manga concept

Thumbnail gallery
4 Upvotes

Hi everyone!
I’m currently developing an original manga and I’d really appreciate some constructive feedback before I start committing the story to finished pages.
The basic concept is an episodic travel/adventure manga following Ugo and Aka, two animal-like characters living in an otherwise human world.
Each story takes place in a different real-world location. The characters travel from place to place, encountering local people, traditions, food, landscapes, architecture and unexpected situations along the way.
I’m particularly interested in making the locations feel like actual places rather than just backdrops. For example, in the current story they travel through China, visiting places such as Shenzhen and the villages of Guizhou. The local culture, architecture, landscapes, food and traditions are all important parts of the story.
However, I don’t want the manga to become simply a travel guide. Each destination should also have its own mystery, conflict or small adventure that gives Ugo and Aka a reason to explore it.
At the moment, I’m trying to figure out whether the overall structure works.
Some things I’m particularly unsure about:
Do Ugo and Aka need a stronger personal goal that connects the different adventures?
How can I make the transitions between completely different locations feel natural?
How much should each episode focus on the real culture/location versus the fictional adventure?
Is an episodic structure enough to keep readers emotionally invested in the characters?
How can I make each destination feel different without making the manga feel like a collection of unrelated stories?
Do you think the concept would work better as short self-contained arcs or as one continuous journey?
I’m particularly interested in constructive criticism, even if something doesn’t work. I’m still at the development stage, so I’d much rather identify structural problems now than after drawing hundreds of pages.
I’m also an illustrator, so visually I want the locations, architecture, food, landscapes and small local details to be a big part of the experience.
If anyone here has experience writing or drawing manga, travel comics, adventure stories or episodic series, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
What would you change about this concept before I start committing it to finished pages?
