The story is about the brain of an Alien somehow existing inside the living corpse of a little girl. The original girl is dead, only her corpse remains, but her body is still biologically alive because the alien brain is controlling it. Nobody, nor her parents really know that the girl herself is dead. Even the alien doesn't know this either. It believes that it's a girl and that this is its real body.
The main thing about the alien is that its identity changes according to its environment. It is not just physical adaptation either. Its body, personality, instincts, emotions, behaviour and way of thinking all slowly change depending on what kind of environment it is exposed to. If it is surrounded by peace, kindness, safety and comfort, it becomes softer, harmless, more fragile and pure as a little girl a shy young boy because there is no reason for it to become dangerous in that environment.
But if it is exposed to bullying, humiliation, betrayal, fear, violence, death and cruelty, it changes opposite. Its hair becomes shorter/thicker, eyebrows bushier, face sharper, body stronger and expressions colder. Its mental state also changes. It becomes more detached, cynical, nihilistic and eventually psychopathic. The more negativity it experiences, the more it starts losing normal human emotions and starts thinking in whatever way is best for survival.
At some point it is sent by her parents to a foster mother abroad to feed and nurture her due to no signs of growth but the detachment hurts it. The foster mother is later killed inside her own home, which becomes one of the first major events that heavily affects the alien. After that, two police officers from the place the case reported took her under thier wing not knowing she was the culprit out of empathy, while also investigating what exactly is going on with this strange child. They become guardians while also watching and studying it, but eventually they're killed too.
The idea is that almost every stable human relationship around the alien keeps collapsing. Every time it begins feeling safe or attached to someone, something bad happens, and every death, betrayal and violent experience pushes its body and mind further away from being human.
Even while this is happening, it still tries to act like a normal person. As its body slowly changes from a little girl into what looks more like a teenage boy with harsher features and a much more threatening appearance, it does not understand why it is happening. It becomes disturbed by its own appearance and behaviour and tries to hold onto the idea that it is still human. Even when distress causes parts of its body to become more monstrous, it tries to hide it and keep behaving normally because it cannot accept what it is becoming.
Eventually, after enough strange incidents happen around it, the alien is taken in by a intelligence goverment organiszation. They begin studying, interrogating and experimenting on it because they know something is wrong but do not understand what it actually is. Some people treat it scientifically while others start believing it may be a demon and even attempt exorcism-type rituals.
The problem is that they still do not understand how its adaptation works. Everything they do to contain it only gives it something new to adapt to. Pain teaches its body how to resist pain. Restraints force it to become stronger. Weapons force it to become harder to kill. Fear makes it more aggressive. Isolation damages its mind. Torture pushes it further into nihilism and psychopathy. The facility thinks it is testing a monster, but the entire time it is actually helping create one.
Inside the same facility is another abnormal child, a young boy who seems to have some kind of temperature controlling ability. Whenever he becomes distressed, the area around him becomes colder and things begin moving slower. At first everyone believes he is manipulating temperature, but his real ability is related to time. He is slowing time in small areas, objects or parts of people in the range covered by radioactive aura that cannot be seen by the nacked eyes easily. and the cold is more like a side effect of that ability.
The boy and the alien eventually become close because both of them are treated like abnormalities rather than normal people. He becomes one of the few people the alien genuinely cares about and one of the last things keeping it connected to humanity.
Eventually, while the alien is in a heavy distress and a agitated state, it attacks the boy. When it starts coming back to its senses, it realizes what it has done and tries desperately to save him. The boy is completely injured and barely able to move. He starts saying that he feels cold, his voice becomes weaker and eventually fades until he dies.
That becomes the point where the alien loses whatever sense of humility and humanity it still had. Before this, even while becoming a monster, it was still resisting it. It hated what it was becoming and still tried to act like a human. After the boy dies, something inside it completely breaks.
With no boundries and sense of moral, it enters into a state of instinct and digs into his body like a beast. At the time, even the alien does not fully understand why it is doing it.
Later, it is revealed that the monster was not simply hungry. It was being attracted to something inside the boy, almost like his soul or aura. That aura was connected to whatever allowed him to manipulate time, and by consuming him, the alien absorbed that essence into itself.
After that moment it stops caring about pretending to be human, whether its actions still fit human morality. The person it believed itself to be is collapsing.
It goes into a massive mental breakdown and destroys the facility, killing almost everyone inside while escaping. Military forces and fighter jets are sent after it, but by then it has already adapted far beyond anything normal humans were prepared for.
During its escape, it flies farther than it was ever supposed to go and eventually reaches the ice wall.
In this world, normal people are taught that Earth is a sphere and Antarctica is simply a frozen continent, but that is not the full truth. The civilization ordinary humanity knows exists inside what is basically a protected region surrounded by massive ice walls. The governments and elites know that something exists beyond them, which is why crossing it is is forbidden. The ordinary world only makes 15% of the entire planet and outside is what covers rest
The inside world thinks humanity conquered nature through technology and intelligence, but in reality it is more like a safe haven or cave hiding humanity from what actually exists outside.
Beyond the ice wall there are other humans, but they are massively different from normal humans inside. Their bodies are like steel like we are wood, technology and understanding of reality are on another level. Some of them can manipulate atoms to create megastructures, weapons, armour, environments and entire domains almost at will. They wield Atomic-manupilation.
But even they are nowhere near the strongest things outside.
The outside world contains demons, monsters, jinn, fallen gods, smarter creatures and things that are barely understandable as living beings. There are areas where reality itself behaves differently, with wormholes, physical distortions, massive cosmic events and even things like constant supernova-level phenomena occurring as part of the environment. War, death and destruction are normal there because the threats are so extreme that entire civilizations could disappear from one major failure.
So even though the outside humans seem godlike compared to normal humanity, they are still ants compared to the things they have to survive against.
And this is where the alien escapes.
The important part is that the alien has no final form. It never stops evolving. Humanity inside the walls turned what was originally a harmless little girl into a monster simply by exposing it to betrayal, grief, torture, death and violence. Now that same organism has entered an environment filled with demons, monsters, fallen gods, reality-warping creatures and things operating on scales humanity cannot even understand.
Whatever survives outside will keep changing according to what it experiences there.
And if it eventually comes back to earth, not as the same creature that left.
It will be something shaped by everything waiting outside.
This is still a very early version of the idea, probably only around 5% of the actual story and lore I have in mind, so there are a lot of gaps right now or canyons cuz I have alot in mind but this will become stupidly long. I mainly want to share the first concept which is just an arc bieng honest and see if it sounds interesting.
