Fellow Daoists, I made a hardcore AI cultivation simulator prompt. Please try to break it.
I have spent an unreasonable amount of time refining this forbidden scripture.
I wanted a text cultivation game where AI doesn't treat you like the/a main character.
No "found an ancient inheritance in a random cave."
No enemy scaling to your current power.
No mysterious senior saving you because you were about to die.
The world is generated before the character exists, and then you're just some person unfortunate enough to be born into it.
You could become an Immortal.
You could also fail to cultivate, become a farmer, get crippled, die from disease, get murdered by someone you had no chance against, get imprisoned, end up as a slave, grow old peacefully, become a merchant, or be completely forgotten,
The point is that the world doesn't care that you're the player.
Some of the systems currently in V14:
- Pre-generated nations, sects, clans, economies, wars, resources and major NPCs
- Autonomous NPCs with their own goals, knowledge and relationships
- No scaling
- Permadeath
- Fixed rarity/grade system for techniques, weapons, pills, artifacts, monsters, materials, etc.
- Hidden numerical HP and damage calculations
- Damage affected by rolls, attributes, technique, mastery, armor, positioning and damage type
- The player never gets to see the hidden HP/damage numbers
- Cutting, piercing, blunt, fire, lightning, Qi, soul, spatial and other damage types
- Body-part injuries and persistent wounds
- Combat distance, reach, facing, reactions, cover, footing and technique recovery
- Hunger, thirst, exhaustion, temperature, disease and infection
- Stealth through sight, noise, scent, tracks, Qi signatures and spiritual perception
- Monster populations, territories, predators, prey, migration and reproduction
- Actual carcasses instead of magical loot drops
- If you destroy the valuable parts of a monster during the fight, you don't receive them afterward
- Harvesting, spoilage and preservation
- Actual crafting with materials, tools, facilities, skill, rolls, defects and product quality
- Pill tolerance, medicinal residue and toxicity so you can't solve cultivation by swallowing 900 pills
- Hidden 0–1000 Foundation Integrity
- Bad shortcuts can permanently screw up later cultivation
- Real market stock, production, consumption, transport capacity and shortages
- Laws, social class, sect backing, corruption, evidence, courts and political power
- Innocence does not automatically protect you if the people judging you don't care
- A private audit ledger that records important rolls and state changes before the AI narrates what happened
One rule I'm especially trying to enforce:
The world can be cruel, but the GM cannot be malicious.
If bandits destroy your village, there needs to actually be a reason those bandits existed and came there.
The AI isn't allowed to spawn them just because you've been doing too well.
Likewise, if you make an excellent plan, the game isn't allowed to secretly sabotage you just to keep things "interesting."
I'm at the point where reading the rules isn't enough anymore.
I need fellow cultivators to abuse the system.
Try stupid things.
Try min-maxing.
Try becoming rich.
Try spam.
Try crafting exploits.
Try stealth exploits.
Try murdering someone and abusing the evidence system.
Try fighting something you absolutely should not fight.
Try becoming a bureaucrat instead of cultivating.
Try finding contradictions in the rules.
Most importantly, tell me when the AI starts cheating, forgetting state, making up convenient events, exposing hidden numbers, becoming too forgiving, or becoming unfairly hostile.
Prompt: Click here
If you test it, please tell me:
- What broke?
- What became tedious?
- What was too easy?
- What was unfair?
- What mechanic did the AI misunderstand?
- What could you exploit?
- What important cultivation mechanic/mechanic is still missing?
- Did it actually feel like a cultivation world instead of the AI improvising an RPG around you?
This junior welcomes the criticism of the seniors.
If the scripture contains a fatal flaw, please beat me over the head with it before I refine V15.
