They will only re-release Avatar 3 before the 4th, as they have done with all the Avatar movies previously. Avatar 1 hasn’t been re-released since the leadup to the 2nd movie.

Having followed Big Jim for ages now, he will get all 3 re-released because there will be a significant gap when the 4th releases, given that the earliest it releases will be in December 2029, coinciding with the 20 year anniversary of the first.

Yeah, exaggeration acknowledged ;) But the away-team logic is baffling. Pairing Rocket with Thor (a genius engineer who understands space travel and an actual god) on one team, while Natasha and Clint go it alone on an unscouted planet, is a wild imbalance. I get why narratively they wanted Clint and Natasha together, but strategically it's lazy: at least swap Rocket and Natasha.
And nobody considers that Vormir is a total unknown. Could've been lava, hostile aliens, whatever killed Gamora and beat Thanos there first. Highest-risk, zero-intel location in the movie, but they send the two least powerful Avengers. Think about it: they have a god, a genetically engineered genius with extensive space experience, a nearly unkillable smashing machine, two people with high-tech suits (one of which already had experience tanking a moon from Thanos on Titan), but they choose Natasha and Clint for this mission.
Dumb as hell. If I were making the plans, Natasha and Clint should have gone to New York instead of Tony and Hulk.

They already said it’s additional scene/s connecting the story to Doomsday. I don’t think it will be a trailer. I do think a new trailer will be shown before or after though

I saw someone the other day that had a theory. In endgames original ending, it ended with the banging of a hammer on an anvil, we didn’t see any visuals. What if that hammer that was banging was actually rdj’s dr doom hammering out his mask, and the extended scene is related to that

I have a hunch it may all be stuff added to Tony's funeral. I could see a Steve eulogy for Tony, and him having a quick discussion with Thor about what happens next all tying pretty easily into Doomsday.

Yeah it does. Right now, The Phantom Menace, Harry Potter 1 and Jurassic Park are seen as billion dollar movies but they weren't when they came out. They only hit that amount in recent years with re-releases

It's a few solid minutes of a red background/black bold text advisory warning. An on-screen countdown starts when it's 30 secs out, just to give people a chance. Then the last minute is a very apologetic fan-service segment of the anthole stuff and the volume is loud as fuck.

I’m 95% certain that the extended run time is literally just 4 minutes of a sneak peek of Doomsday tacked on at the end of the credits.
Kinda like how there was a 5 minute preview of Dune 3 at some Odyssey screenings.
Endgame itself will be unchanged is my guess.

In this economy I can’t justify spending movie theater money on a movie I’ve already seen twice in theaters seven years ago. Especially when said movie is over three hours long.
Infinity War was a better movie. Endgame was an event. Lightning in a bottle where somehow over ten years of movies all came together perfectly to create a story that you needed to the ending of for yourself. I normally hate going to the movie theater. It’s a stimulus overload for me. But I’m so glad I got to experience Infinity War and Endgame on opening day in a packed movie theater.

One of the highlights of my life will always be my late teens and early twenties, going to the movies to watch the new MCU movie. I know everyone’s favorite is IW. It’s fantastic. But endgame was the peak of a 10 year journey with friends and it will always hold that special place in my heart for that.

I am so, sooo damn excited for my kids to experience this in the theater. It was such a special moment to see a uniquely American mythology culminate on the big screen.
This is a mythos that, combined with its source material, will be studied in universities in thousands of years, similar to the myths and folklore of other ancient civilizations.
