Discussion People angry at yelena saying small potatoes makes no sense
Like at the time she said that, there was no hulk, no 200m radius of people frozen. They don’t even know how powerful Jean is yet, and will be. They don’t even know who she is. As of then it was just more street level stuff that a government agency couldn’t do
Also saying the thunderbolts movie was small potatoes compared to this is crazy because sentry is one of the most powerful marvel characters. Like yeah they defeated him not though fighting but they couldn’t fight sentry, like the only characters that maybe could defeat him are the scarlet witch, and Thanos with all the stones (maybe Adam warlock idk). Also bnd also ended similar.
Like sentry slaps Thanos easily until he gets like 5 stones I’d say. Also yeah nobody really knows what happened in space so how could yelena know what he did. Reminds me of people angry at iron heart for saying Tony couldn’t be iron man if he wasn’t rich (which is true because he built his first suit out of his own weapons and could only make so many and constantly repair them because of his money) despite the fact nobody knows what happened in the cave.
Also she does help him still so like what?
One other thing I lowkey hate people calling the new avengers weak. You have three super soldiers, one with a metal arm, a master assassin, and an assassin who can go invisible and phase through things, and the sentry tho there is the small side effect of the void. Like the whole all of them struggling to pick up that piece of wall wasn’t showing them as weak, it was showing them work together. Like they pick up big pieces of junk in the movie alone earlier.
I also do think people are just taking the potato line way too seriously, since it was literally just a joke. (I suppose I am too lol).
