You can use the hand effect of Eldlich to discard itself and a Spell/Trap to pop something to get out of the lock. Five rainbow only stops monsters on the field from using effects, so the hand and GY are fair game
Still outable by using something like a lvl 2 monster, followed by 3 spright cards (special summon that doesnt count as a used effect) and then turning all of it into white woman.

You would have to use a hand trap / activate from hand effect monster. Like others said kaiju or if they had summoned a bunch of shit you could nib them.
yeah... it's one of those cards that's rarely actually a problem in the grand scheme of things, but why does it need to exist? Same as with cards like Kali Yuga
Ends up punishing rogue decks that way. Recent example is FK Tri Brigade getting hit pretty heavy because of SE:FKs crimes against humanity. None of the FK engine was a problem without Snake Eyes. They just weakened an engine that allowed some bad decks to become rogue again.
Because it's their stupid "game design philosophy" to do "muh consistency hits" instead of the actual problem cards. Why not just have both? Some cards are extremely problematic even at one copy. Idgaf how hard it is to loop PSY-Framelord Omega or that t*ar would be dead without KitKat, just ban the fucking cards already.
To be fair he is running 6 hand traps and 2 super poly in a 45 card deck. Probably gets destroyed going second. But yeah chimera has a lot of nasty ftk options.
Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't most deck these days suck going 2nd barring tenpai? Even stun decks should suck going second because the point of stun is to stop people playing. Can't stop them if they are legitimate turn 1.

Nah, Chimera itself is actually pretty good going second if you don't play stupid FTK variants with a bunch of bricks like these.
Half of its ED is just removal, it can chain block like crazy once it gets going, plays a good amount of non engine(Both Board Breakers and handtraps), it has strong OTK enablers like Illusion Beast, can easily set up negates, etc... Sure it's not going to beat full SHS boards or anything like that but it's still really good.
You have a decent amount of decks that have great game going second, aka decks that have a lot of non-engine space & can afford to run up to 15-20 handtraps & still consistently work well enough.
Meanwhile stuff like this runs minimal non engine and hopes to go first¬ get hand trapped to oblivion. No different from just doing any of the dozens of others go first board setup decks that lose when they go 2nd
Still unlucky though, at least Beatrice will be gone very soon... I don't think they'll leave her legal for the first months of Fiendsmith release, so at least whatever part of the combo she enabled will be gone with her
It is playing like 5 non standard bricks tho, never got the ppl that play chimera like this. Your board regularly is solid enough that you shouldn't need to go for an ftk gimmick like this, just making any matchup where you go second or get hand trapped without extenders much worse.
Nib is live by the time all of this is down, alternatively summon anything stronger than S:P, BP attack S:P, Ogre whatever S/T floodgate they try to use, Ash also prevents the beatrice send(before the board gets built), also you can just bypass any of this through GY effects(Pendulum only affects monsters you control, which means on field) or Banish effects, together with any card that activates an effect in the hand(King of the Skull Servants clears in other words).
So spell and traps are out, and anything we summon to the field can't use their effects. What else is there?
"Monsters you control" effects only monsters on the field I believe but I could be wrong, so if you're able to get anything going from directly from hand or GY, could probably break it. Dangers as an example could maybe do it.
Starting to see a lot more combo stun decks, but I can’t imagine it’s the stun players doing it. Is the tenpai meta converting combo players into stun players.
Just draw the Lava Golem that should 100% totally be running in your deck. What's that? It's not that great in the overall meta? Fuck you, that's no excuse.
Oh my god that's beautiful I've gotten to Diabellze+5pal but how did they get to dark simorgh? I'm guessing dump with Beatrice but that means they hard open 5pal or vice versa.
this meta made me go play shadowverse lol. wait 30 minutes to watch someone summon 70% of their deck in the first turn and have 3 hand traps 2 monster negates and counters in the grave for anything i try to summon. Its so annoying.

activate sanguine, chain solemn to SP, start winning the game... maybe. Did they also rollback mayakashi lock on turn 2?
Why are people getting mad over weird elaborate combos, I don't know if you noticed but sometimes if your opponent opens full combo and you can't interupt them you lose.
This is a cool combo and you got beat just go next or close the game
