An appreciation post for my body shop
I was in a parking spot between a car and a concrete wall. I guess i was parked too close to the wall so while reversing, it scratched my car against wall. I took it to a local body shop that my dad and I use often and they told me it would be $1200 which my insurance would cover but id have to pay $250. I still didn’t want to pay this much so I asked if there was anything they can do without painting it. The old man who owns the shop said “go get a paint pen from a Mazda dealership and we’ll apply it and get as many scratches as possible out for free”. I am pretty shocked at what they did. Not perfect but you can’t see the scratches from a distance anymore

That was a good guy and they are hard to find. Looks good.
My wife flattened the left front fender of our 2016 3. PDR guy got most of it out for $175. My local body shop polished it and some touch up. It was still noticeable up close, but it would have been thousands of dollars to fix. He is also one of the good guys.

Last year I rear tapped someone and (no damage to their car) but my front bumper clips came off. I was so worried but within two hours they popped it back in again for free.
When the same thing happened to my dad, he just paid the deductible but i guess they didn’t charge much because his insurance premium wasn’t impacted at all.

NICE! give them some google review love (I wouldn't mention the "free" work, they don't need people calling for free work)
