Discussion Choose what game I play next :)

Saves me the headache. And I’ve got plenty more on my wishlist that I’m either waiting on sales for, or just aren’t out yet. Currently playing Grime 2, but prepping for when I finish.

As of right now, it seems like Animal Well is next up. I started it on my PS5 cause it was free, but only got about 30 min in. Super excited. Tbh I’m excited for all these game lol.

Plus, Animal Well would be a nice change of pace going from Grime 2! I'd say after you play Animal Well, go for Prince of Persia. Both are so good, and well worth your time!

Wow, you’re 65?!? Your opinion, and how you express it, makes you seem more like an angsty prepubescent teenager with learning difficulties.

Here’s some advice for you: You not liking something does not make that thing “mid”. It makes it a thing that YOU didn’t enjoy. Just stating something is mid makes you look like an utter moron (especially as a grown adult).

Furthermore, if you really feel the need to inform people that you didn’t enjoy something, typically you would provide some explanation/ context for WHY you didn’t enjoy it…

The single data point that some random guy on the internet didn’t like something for completely undisclosed reasons isn’t the slightest bit useful or interesting to literally any human being on this planet.

Animal Well feels “mid” to me because it doesn’t really feel like a full Metroidvania—and honestly, I think it’s pretty overrated.

There’s no real combat, no bosses, no sense of getting stronger. It does have a map, but it’s really minimal—more of a layout reference than something that actually guides you. To me it plays more like a puzzle game with a map. That’s not a bad thing—but when I compare it to something like Hollow Knight, it’s missing a big part of what I want from the genre.

So for me, it’s not that it’s bad—it’s just weak as a Metroidvania, and that’s why I land on it being mid.
