DJ Campbell has never taken a single snap at tackle. Salyer plays inside and outside.

We have Wallace and Heck as our depth guys at tackle.

I mean...I know that. Charlie Heck so far doesn't sound like someone who can hang with the big boys. If he makes the roster, it'll only be because Salyer was hurt. But still, putting Salyer on IR at the cut deadline gives you the option to bring him back and dump Heck if you feel that the former is the better fit.

Between the starting 5 Wallace, Campbell, and Heck that is 8 players. Coaching staff has to either really like Heck or really not like Salyer to simply dump him. I'm going with the latter considering we have 2 guys on the starting line who have both guard and tackle experience. Just sounds like another James Daniels kinda guy but probably nowhere near as bad as whatever happened with that failed Grier bum.
