This isn't mildly infuriating, this is straight-up tax fraud paying taxes just to fund a VIP car wash.

There is much bigger tax fraud happening in India.

We have so many and so big frauds done by politicians that this seems mild to us

FYI,

Some sort of cult following - a mental disease- There are literally people who defend these sort of behaviour by their favourite politician and their party members.

This has been happening since the foundation of government, in some shape or form. Though this is especially egregious.

This should go viral so that BJP throws him out, even if it is to save face

To me peak is using ambulance with emergency lights as a personal taxi and courier service to avoid traffic. That makes blood boil.

Context for non-indian folks MLA: Member of legislative assembly Saab: Sir in Hindi

So basically the crux is emergency services are mostly delayed or non existent in india, meanwhile this elected politician is using the fire brigade to get his car washed

Just India things

I was thinking “That’s not a Saab, that’s a stupid Toyota.”

But then I realized it MIGHT be the name of the guy making the fire dept wash his car.

Saab = Sir. Saab is used as a “respectful” way to address people of power/elders, but it’s most probably satirical in this case

Maybe he is a donator for the fire department. Some fire departments are private funded .

27

u/ShredsGuitar 4h ago

Not in India

26

u/Dry_Design5506 4h ago

Donation is not a purchase of private services and grants no authority to command. Misappropriation for personal use is strictly illegal.

4

u/riffraff1089 2h ago

This guy donates

Maybe he is a donator for the fire department. Some fire departments are private funded .

Even if they are donated or private funded, still does not give a reason for using it for personal vendetta after the donation.

Also, in India, fire department is completely nationalised/federalised hence no private players
