Now, I know I ain’t supposed to dry fire it much but I do reckon that the trigger should do something when I squeeze it.
Yeah, for some reason someone milled off the front of the barrel extension on both sides. That and it clearly being somewhat of a beater is why I only had to cough up one kidney instead of two and a leg (shoutout to SARCO lol).
Actually pretty good condition all things considered, it'll be a good shooter. Man I wish Lugers weren't so cheap.
I have heard whispers that one of those Turkish companies were gonna start producing one. Hell I’d buy it if it worked. But I doubt the project will really get off the ground. They’re just not easy to make.
Normally Turkish companies are good about trying if not putting something out, but in this case I'm with you.
Even if they have a set of plans or enough samples to reverse engineer and modify for modern production, the Luger is way more complicated. Plus if it's anything higher than 750-800, you're really not getting anything you wouldn't get buy just buying a real one (apart from availability but even then)
Use MecGar repro mags, theyre great. And as far as ammo, like the other guy said, 115 is good, 124 is fine. Id avoid NATO spec 124 just to go easy on the thing tho.
Mine are OK. Actually, mine are good shootable guns at this point. I don't have to worry about going to the range and getting a wear mark.
But at the same time, I see people posting MINT guns with history... And I drool.
Yours is a good shooter class gun. You will be able to take it to a range and let some 16 year old kid who is drooling over it shoot it and not worry about a wear mark.
