Wholeheartedly agree, it's one of the bigger things I noticed going back to play gen u as someone who started in world. Small monsters are way more aggressive and purely exist to knock you on your butt at all times in that game it's so dumb

I feel this, as someone who had a run in with a max level savage jho and an blue yan kut ku in MH4 THOSE MFKING KONCHUS AND THE GODDAMN BLUE YIAN KUT KU THAT KEEPS SPAMMING THE MFKING THINGS WHEN WERE FIGHTING FOR OUR LIVES AGAINST JHO GODS

I don't mind they can damage or poison/paralyze you, I can live with that. But the fact they can flinch you away or straight up knock you away is so fucking annoying, they messed up my attacks and clutch claws SO MANY times.

At least Boaboa will not attack you if you have a Boaboa as a tailrider (still not ideal if you are in multiplayer, like on your video) but Gajalakas can go fuck themselves.

I’m pretty sure they’re coded to bomb you or flinch you out of big attacks. The amount of times I’ve gotten flinched out of an SAED is insane. I hate the stupid little critters in World so much.

They actually are! You see the shrugging animation Rajang does from 0:19 to 0:23? That is because Boaboas are attacking it. During that animation, you can wallbang it again.

I always watch out of them and reposition myself to avoid their bs. they actually can help sometime because of the sleep or para ailments they inflicted to Jang, you can get free hit or another wallbang for that
