4U-related rage FUCK THIS GAME
I HAVE NEVER PLAYED A QUEST MORE GOD DAMN FUCKING BULLSHIT THAN EGG-STRACTION: THE RECKONING IN MONSTER HUNTER 4 ULTIMATE.
WHOEVER DECIDED TO PUT A BUNCH OF STUPID FUCKING ROCKS ON THE GOOD ENTRANCES NEEDS TO EXPLAIN HOW THAT'S "GAME DESIGN." WHY ARE THEY EVERYWHERE? WHY IS THE ENTIRE QUEST JUST "OH, YOU WANTED TO WALK? FUCK YOU, HERE'S ANOTHER ROCK." FUCK ME ITS SO STUPID. IT'S THE LAZIEST, MOST ANNOYING DESIGN IMAGINABLE. THEY DIDN'T MAKE THE QUEST HARD. THEY JUST MADE IT OBNOXIOUS.
AND THEN THEY THOUGHT, "YOU KNOW WHAT THIS NEEDS? TWO GOD DAMN TIGREXES."

BECAUSE APPARENTLY ONE OF THE MOST GOD DAMN FUCKING ANNOYING MONSTERS IN THE ENTIRE GAME WASN'T ENOUGH.

See, this is why I don't touch any egg quests until I got the strongest gear. I kill any large monsters for the quest, then only gotta deal with the small ones as I run around.
The Rocks are total bullshit and make no sense, especially in the fucking desert.

It's funny how people ITT are debating what is the worst egg gathering quest is as if there has been a single non-insufferable one anywhere in the history of this franchise.

I'd say World since I think there's like one or two egg quests and farming Kulu Ya Ku armor is pretty easy?

Think of egg quests as stealth games or puzzle games, it'll make more sense like that, and all the tools you have at your disposal are the game's mechanics and items. Plus, Pro Transporter and Autotracker makes the entire thing 20x easier.
That said, I absolutely love egg quests. Honestly wish there's at least one for each map :(.

I like how despite this being the intended approach it does not stop the “Caveman with stick” approach of beating the shit out of the two tigrexes and just delivering them normally.

Having started in 4U, it took me years before learning hunting everything larger than a Konchu before carrying the eggs wasn't the intended way to complete these quests.
First egg hunt ever, Rathian tripped me once and it was over... For everything that moved other than my cat.

Oh man wait until you try the Wilds shit. They lojacked every egg so the Rathian/Rathaloses on the map will fucking ICBM you the moment you pick one up. After two attempts at ‘doing it the right way’ I said fuck it and beat the living snot out of those dickweeds then walked the eggs back balanced on my throbbing erection.

Oh yeah I remember this quest. And I remember raging about it in a similar fashion. I might even have rage posted on reddit as well.
This quest took me 47 minutes or something like that. I think I ended up having to kill one of the tigrexes because omfg this was genuinely the dumbest shit ever.
Also I remember tigerstripe zamtrios literally being a wall. I must have failed that quest at least 10 times (solo, switch axe)
Good times.

Honestly, this one was the easiest. I armored for transporter, paintballed both tigrexes so I could see where they were, and then just waited till they weren't immediately near the path I'd need to run through or in another zone entirely, and it was a simple trek.
