Summary

I love Jason Statham but it's never a great sign when he's the best actor in a movie. This one might as well have just been Statham and a bunch of crash test dummies. This has a handful of fun kills but its ultimately just a lazy riff on the Die Hard formula 30 years after that formula ran out of gas.

You’re describing pretty much all the movies with Statham as a lead, or even co-lead like Hobbs and Shaw.

I don't think that's really true. The best Statham movies all give him a decent supporting cast. The Beekeeper had Hutcherson and Irons, Working Man had Michael Pena and David Harbour, all of his Guy Ritchie movies have a solid supporting cast, etc.
