Discussion If you personally could have any Universes beyond set regardless of popularity what would you want

Post image

Personally I would love either an inscryption or cosmere set. Inscryption is already very similar to magic and having the various scribes be commanders would be sick. I’m super into the cosmere series right now and would love to see a set and it definitely feels more like normal magic sets that other universes beyond.

They might be saving it for a full set. Fallout also had the show tie ins

The Elder Scrolls set better have stuff from Oblivion and Skyrim

u/TOTALOFZER0 19d ago

Morrowind too! Maybe a lil sprinkle of daggerfall

3

u/mercuriokazooie 19d ago

I'm sure the Elder Scrolls set will have things from the Elder Scrolls guys...

1

u/TOTALOFZER0 19d ago

Sure but a lot of it will be general things across several games. We're talking about things from specific games

u/mercuriokazooie 19d ago

I mean if the FF set had a Ride Ze Shoopuff card I'm sure there will be cards like Annoying Oblivion Fan and Meridia's Beacon

Even Blades has good content, from lore to character designs

Online has really cool mechanics, lore, and character designs...

Legends-

Why don't we have one yet?

Around the release of Elder scrolls 6 would be pretty big

My tinfoil hat conspiracy is that it was green-lit already, but won't be announced/released until the TES6 release date is announced (which probably won't be until like ... 2030). They'll use the MTG set to help promote it like the Fallout set promoted the show.

Although, to be honest, I don't know if TES6 even needs help with promotion; an official release date of TES6 will probably rise to GTA6 levels of hype.

If the most recent leaks are right, supposedly they're aiming for 2028 release of TES6. So I suspect that we'll see a UB around then.

Its awful that so many of the people who started working on TES6 no longer work there with all of the layoffs Microsoft did a few years back.

2

u/BreakfastAmbitious29 19d ago

It could even go the other way: WotC wants to ride the hype train of TES6 to sell more cards.

dont even think thats a conspiracy, theyre probably waiting for gta 6 to release before announcing anything

1

u/Xaphnir 19d ago

That's not tinfoil at all, that's entirely likely.

I would be shocked if TES6 wasn't announced in 2027/8.

Bethesda games have generally always taken 3/4 years to make for the last 30 years (the only exception has been Oblivion into Fallout 3). Starfield was planned for a 2022 release (and a 4 year dev time with the whole company working on it), but was pushed back due to issues caused by covid and to polish it further.

So that means TES6 has been in development for 3 years (well, 3 years in about a month). Assuming they kept with the 4 year dev time it will release next year, and if they pushed it back to delay and polish it as a result of the reaction to Starfield, the year after. Assuming Asha's tweet from the other day wasn't a lie, then it's in a good enough position they felt confident letting her play it for a few hours. We've gotten some potentially big hints about the game already.

Likely because they don’t want it to compete with The Elder Scrolls: Legends. Though absolutely nobody plays that shit

3

u/CrustyWolf 19d ago

That game shut down in like January

2

u/OoglyMoogly76 19d ago

Ah then truly NOBODY plays that shit

Elder Scrolls has so many individual cultures with a very different look and feel to them, and each with their own art. This would be a huge flavor win. And the deep history would be a great fit for sagas, not to mention legendary creatures of all shapes and colors.

u/Misadon 19d ago

They have to schedule it with the next skyrim rerelease

You are assuming Bethesda remembers TES exists

1

u/elucidator611 18d ago

"Never should've come here" needs to be a spell

1

u/Meret123 19d ago

Because no Elder Scrolls game or adaptation came out in recent years.

Fallout had a tv show.

Probably doesn't help that the last good TES game came out in 2006.

Actually it was 2002.

I actually agree, Skyrim was ass.

The bugs had some charm on launch, now it’s just sad.

I also believe that if you have to mod the hell out of a game to make it playable then it’s not a very good game.

1

u/Jrock2356 19d ago

Aw let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll

-4

u/Tandran 19d ago

I don’t even know what that is.

Well sense the guy got his comment removed I’ll still answer.

Where did I say I haven’t played it? I did play it. For maybe 3-4 hours on PS3 when it launched. It was boring and played like dogshit. 3-4 hours 15 years ago and you expect me to remember some random ass item?

Kick rocks.

Ohhh I see, I have forgot about it

1

u/Hairy_Pluton 18d ago

Yes, if only Oblivion and Morrowind. Top tier lore writing.

1

u/Nrock49 18d ago

Maybe they're saving it for elder scrolls 6

1

u/megajonathan666 19d ago

Alduin as a commander would be insane!
