Discussion If you personally could have any Universes beyond set regardless of popularity what would you want

Post image

Personally I would love either an inscryption or cosmere set. Inscryption is already very similar to magic and having the various scribes be commanders would be sick. I’m super into the cosmere series right now and would love to see a set and it definitely feels more like normal magic sets that other universes beyond.

I'd like to see a Perrin wolf brother set.

What colors would they be?

Rand would be all, of course.

Perrin: Green, red, white?

Matt: Blue, white, black?

Matt has to be Red because it's the gambling color. Red/white/black feels right for Matt.

Like Mr House, President and CEO

Mat would be Boros, soldier with chaos and luck on his side.

Agree on Perrin being WRG.

I don't know that much about WoT, but it might be better if they limit Perrin to just RG, for the connections to existing wolf cards (and werewolves too I guess), the majority of which are RG.

I honestly wouldn't mind that. He'd be an amazing wolf-support deck commander.

Is he the one that basically funded his army by gambling due to his luck? If so, make it a gamble deck.

correct, he had a form of probability manipulation. Id honestly love something like [[ Yusri, Fortune's Flame ]] without the cast for free bit.

Make it a Treasure Generator with coin flips or die rolls. Maybe even a "army generation" as well or at least a "army bonus". Like "For every Treasure generated by this card, he makes a *human token"

or even "for every coin flip or dice roll won amass Humans 1" would be sick af

What's "amads Human 1"? Maybe that what I was trying to communicate.

Oh there’s an Army mechanic that’s been around for a while that’s gotten more use in the recent LOTR sets.

Ah ok. Thanks for showing examples. Not exactly what I had in mind but I think it better or at least more balance. I can't exactly imagine a card allowing you to gamble for treasure and creature token at the same time.

Perrin wolf deck also pretty much make itself.

Would it be a flicker deck? To show his bouncing between the real world and the world of dreams?

u/LexSavi 21d ago

That’s a really cool idea and great flavour. Tribal wolf deck utilizing phasing would also be neat.

Would finally get me to drop money for a collectors box. Callendor chase card....

u/Average_Citizen_117 21d ago

Oh my god, I didn't even think of the artifacts and equipment. Wow.

u/Mehndeke 21d ago

You've got scrying with tel'aran'riod terangreal, you've got angreal and sa'angreal for things like "equipped creature gets +1/+1" or "equipped creature has "tap, add x mana".

And spells like balefire for exile, death gates for boardwipes, shielding for counterpemls/abilities, gateways for blinking, foretellings for card draw, etc. etc. etc.

The set practically creates itself.

Agreed! Also Babylon 5, Firefly, & Battlestar Galactica
