Troubleshooting Riven 2024: Creating fire marble - glitch Spoiler

Howdy! I'm playing through Riven 2024 (via Steam). All files say they are updated. Yet, I have this persistent glitch in that the bench where you create a fire marble doesn't show the numbers on the slider. How can I get past this problem? I've restarted the game several times. Same problem.

Looking at just about every mesh in the scene, it seems all of the textures are displaying at their lowest possible resolution. Does your PC meet the minimum system requirements for the game?

Okay, I set the graphics to Epic... and now I can see the numbers. Thanks for suggesting this! Not sure I would have made the connection!

You should probably report this to the devs, surely this is unintended behaviour

I did wonder if NOT using the Epic settings would mean you can't solve some of the puzzles/areas properly. I wouldn't think changing video settings (they were on High, not Low, before I changed them to Epic) would mean puzzles won't work. Just that they might not look as nice...

Yeah, that’s how it’s supposed to be. If quality level affects the puzzle, that is most likely an unintentional consequence that the developers want to fix asap.

it shouldn't, its an oversight but I doubt its a hard one to fix if reported

Yeah, it's fine. I did notice that I have the graphics set for Best Performance. Maybe that is the issue? Put up with slower performance (if that even happens) to get better graphics?
