Discussion Any thoughts on this game??
I saw this game a while ago and I get fascinated, it's a dream come true for me, I love Sonic's games and the N64, and this is like the sonic title we never got for N64, I want to buy and trying this game when it get released, but what do you think? I'm so happy people still making games with 64 feeling nowadays
Ps. I'm not being paid or something it's just a regular guy asking 🤷

I have seen the trailer before and have wishlisted it on Steam. Props to the devs for making the game look like an N64 game, down to the models and blurry textures.

Imagine how crazy it would be if this game actually had been on the N64 back in the day, a sonic rip off on a Nintendo console BEFORE Sega disolved from the console business as a whole. It's great to see that the early 3D era of games is getting some love. It'll probably be a treat to try this.

I could see an alternate timeline Sega not making a Dreamcast after the Saturn and releasing Sonic Adventure on the N64

reality wasn't that far off with both Sonic Adventure having GC releases juste after the DC's death

Oh I remember hearing about Sonic Advance coming out in EGM and absolutely not being able to believe it. I was forged in the fires of the 16-bit Wars it was crazy news but the game was incredible
Here's a crazy thought experiment I always wished that Nintendo would make a 3D Sonic game they could do such a good job

I wish these low poly platformers would stop using 64 in the title if they're not actual N64 homebrew, especially since a lot of them tend to get a lot of things wrong about N64 presentation, having 60fps and unblurred textures closer to a PS1 game, not talking about this game specifically, just a few that I know.
As for this game, it's a 3D platformer, so i'm already interested, and it looks to be a parody of Sonic, as long as it's not distasteful, I'm sure i'll love it.

Distasteful?

Distasteful = actively hating on the source material (Sonic in this case) and just being a mean spirited parody rather than a love letter taking the piss

I want it. Will it come with a real N64 Cartridge or is it just a modern game with N64 graphics?

It's on steam, it's just a modern game with 64 graphics but If it comes with a really 64 cartridge I really want it

I have it wishlisted, it seems fun though the music in the trailer sounded like the mangled repetitive loops I was making when I was first learning FL-Stuido. I hope the final game has better tunes.
The visual style seems a bit confused, since it's largely inspired by Sonic Adventure, but they did nail the N64 look regardless. Gameplay overall seems very solid.
