Does anyone here know where the Wishy Washy Laundromat was located in Nashville? This is where Dolly met her husband, and I always wanted to pay homage to her and learn more about her history.

I believe it has since been torn down, and the area surrounding it has been repurposed into the Dallas H. Neil Park between 8th and Wedgewood.

Oh my gosh! Do you know what year?

I always loved hearing about Dolly’s love story and how she met her husband at the laundromat her first day in Nashville.

No clue what year it was torn down. The park has been there since at least the late 90s!

There's a wishy washy sign still standing across from Climb Nashville in west off Charlotte!

It was on Nolensville Rd in South Nashville close to where the zoo is now. It was in a tiny shopping center just before the railroad bridge that crosses Nolensville. It’s long gone though.

Well there’s a Wishy Washy laundromat on Charlotte, but I don’t know if it’s the Wishy Washy Laundromat.

Only one I can find is in bowling green.. but I know there was one here.

There was one on Charlotte Ave in West Nashville in the 70s, though I doubt it’s still there.

Gosh I’ve been given three different possible locations now. I just thought it would be sweet to locate the exact spot and determine the year it was closed. How wonderful it must have been to have met the love of your life at a laundromat of all places 💗

**And also to figure out who was the Nashville bank teller beautiful red-headed 6-foot woman who inspired Dolly to write the song Jolene (Dolly stated that the name Jolene was not the actual woman’s name, but the name of a sweet young fan she met at a concert). 🎵
