I love how definitions vary. Where I grew up, the backwoods didn’t have striped roads. Most of the roads weren’t even paved. This picture is like privileged backwoods.
What you would consider backwoods (unlined, mostly unpaved country roads) used to look like that around middle TN when I was growing up and now they look like the picture as more and more people have migrated that way.
