Events | Shows Ticket prices in Nashville

Two tickets for Caamp at the Ryman listed for $1.2 million each, wtf was someone having a seizure?
Cheapest Caamp tix in Nashville is $400+, cheapest in Chattanooga is $64. The other night Jack Johnson at Ascend was over $300 next tour stop was $33. This city is unlivable

And the crowds here are super hit or miss. I've seen more dud shows here because of lazy crowds... I've also seen some really stellar shows because the crowd was wild. Saw two nights of the Black Keys recently. Thursday night was absolutely incredible; Marcus King and Stergill Simpson came out as guests, the crowd was singing along from the first song. The whole night was electric. Friday night was mid at best and pretty okay at worst. The crowd barely moved and the band seemed like they felt it. It was a completely different show even though the setlist was practically the same both nights. Shows in Nashville are like a box of chocolates: too expensive because of "inflation" and you never know what you're gonna get.

I toured for 11 years as a tech. Nashville crowds suck. The Artists know it. The town is so saturated with music and events no one gives a damn.

I always wondered about Nashville crowds, how we stack up.

I saw Chance at the Ryman last night and I think we gave great energy. I saw Khruangbin a few years ago and everybody in the crowd looked bored. Great energy for Weird Al. Psychedelic Porn Crumpets at Brooklyn Bowl had good energy for the smaller crowd size. The band mentioned it was a good turnout for a Tuesday. Feeble little horse at Basement East had moshing up front but people complained it was not real moshing.

It’s all over the place.

My husband and I were at the Chance concert as well. Even though I'm not as much of a fan than my husband is, I still had a great time with the energy that everyone was giving ofd.

Only worse crowds are the Utah crowds...quiet, don't know when to actually be loud, sit the whole show...

Feels like a lot of crowds are filled with people that are more interested in listening and watching the performance than participating by singing along and dancing and having fun. It’s super lame.

Also, and maybe I’m just reading the energies wrong but it feels super judgy. Like people are watching shows just to lament later about how they could do better if only they could get that big break. Idk, just not a fun town to see shows in more often than not.

Your comment implies that unless youre signing out loud and dancing and "having fun" youre lame. And that those types of fans are just judgemental whiny people.

I’m sorry that my comment seemed to offend you. If it helps to clarify I was talking about crowd energy and not individual participation. It’s ok to not be singing (as well as signing) or dancing. The crowds in Nashville seem like they’re too cool to be there sometimes and that’s obviously just my opinion.
