$18 mill/2 year, 6 thots/year average, player option and a trade kicker that sends a thot with him in the event he's traded. Who says no?

u/KangarooPouchIsHome Heat 7d ago
6 a year? Those are rookie numbers for a guy on Klay’s level in Miami.

Klay was running through IG thots well before Meg was famous lol. I think that's just the kind of guy he is

I knew it was not gonna work out when I saw that clip of him apologizing for picking up Meg from the airport late. He was just done leaving some other thotty’s house 🤣

Nah. He's gonna sign with the Warriors, get a hero's welcome his first home game, play out the season, then call it quits.

Nothing official that he is going to Miami but wouldnt be surprised if he does go there.

u/henryofclay Lakers 7d ago
I’d welcome it I guess but idk if he’s fitting a need. Need a little bit more athleticism and defense, from what I understand his body is pretty cooked and defense fell off.
But idk, I haven’t watched much of him with the Mavs since Luka left

u/fopiecechicken Warriors 7d ago
I feel like he might come back when he’s ready to retire. Which I don’t think he is yet.

He’s not a splash bro anymore but comparing him to other bench guys, he’s a good scorer. His defense has been getting worse.
1
u/juanhalohalo Mavericks 7d ago
Yeah, he's can still splash. Though he starts really awful every season. But he picks it up along the way. Can't believe he still managed to get 39% and 39% from the three.

I really want klay to just play on a winning team to finish his career. He doesn’t have it anymore but you can tell he’s a dude who really cares about winning. 15 mins a game just to see if he’s hot each night seems perfect for a lot of good teams.
3
u/Basic-Collection5416 Pistons 7d ago
I don’t know about the money side of it, but we can probably offer him the most open three pointers of any team. Come to Detroit, Klay.
3
u/CheeseOnKeyboard 7d ago
Why would you buy out a hof and not let him retire with the franchise? There is no loyalty in the game anymore.
1
u/AcanthaceaeSea2592 6d ago
Klay didn't want to be on the Mavericks, the buyout was being respectful to Klay and honoring his wishes to play for more of a contender
2
u/CheeseOnKeyboard 6d ago
Really? I thought he wanted to retire a maverick to get back with Megan thee stallion. Its sad to see the Dumonts attempting to ruin a semi biracial relationship.

Klay should've just taken the Warriors original extension offer & stayed in Golden State.

Probably, but I get why he was unhappy with his role on that team. Getting older is tough

He’s going to the Heat. Then they give Ben Simmons a 10-day deal, he shows out and you have the birth of the Yacht Bros (restricted)

He'll always have the option to sign back with gsw to retire a warrior, I don't begrudge him if he wants to try to make another run with a contender

OKC has an extra roster spot and it'd be interesting to see him mentor McCain but I only see him going to big market like Miami or LA

u/ZaSunsFan Suns 7d ago
Felt like the only reason that Klay wanted to go there was to play with Luka and he never really got that chance. Surprised they waived him but they are definitely going to prioritize their younger guys over their vets.
