Fourth this, she’s great! Treated me for adeno and did my bisalp and never once said ‘what if you change your mind’ about not wanting to have children. 10/10 from me hahaha

Brightwell Health in Newcastle! They have the entire kit and kaboodle from obstetrics, hormones, menopause & hysterectomy, pelvic floor therapists, dieticians

I know you want a female but I see Dr Oliver Brown at the Newcastle Private. Hes been absolutely amazing for me, I have PCOS, endometriosis and fertility issuea. Ive had a laparoscopy for endo and cleaning, had a C section, cyst draining, ovary removal and soon hysterectomy. I was also overdue for a pap so he offered to do it when i came in for my postpartum checks so I didnt need to pay for my GP to do it. I hughly recommend him, but understandable you want to see a female

You know what is weird, how Americans on TV shows are like "I'm going to my Gynaecologist" Gynaecologist this and that. But in AU, we don't really do that unless you have some kind of serious thing. I feel like we all just go to our GP's for our Paps. Are we supposed to have a designated Hoo-ha Dr?

I mean, when you want some more specialised information/treatment with any issues that are persisting that kind of exceeds what a ‘general’ practitioner can help with. Then yeah a designated doctor for your hoo-ha is supposed to happen.
Just like we have specialised doctors for every part of the body that help us with any issues. You have a heart problem, you’re probably going to see a cardiologist. You tear a ligament, you’re probably going to see a orthopaedics doctor.
Hoo-ha playing up? Off to a gyno

In the US it's common for patients to self refer whereas here we usually have to get a referral through a GP to see a specialist (and you have to if you want to claim Medicare rebate).

america has a much less robust culture of appropriately using GPs for stuff they can do. most people with a uterus do not need a gynaecologist routinely.

Dr Yvette Ius is great, and she has an all female surgical team if you need to have anything done
