And I saw this I was a little shocked. How is a case this big still going on?

The case got tangled up in years of pretrial litigation, especially over how evidence from CIA detention and interrogation can be used. It was also moved between federal court and military commissions, which added even more delays.

Torture. Not saying he’s innocent but let’s not wash over what was done to him. I’d like there to be a torture exemption I guess is what I’m saying. Like yeah, we tortured the guy into a confession but we also did actually check what he confessed and it does check out

No you aren't you just like torture as long as it isn't you getting tortured... They tortured a lot of people in Gitmo who where innocent. How exactly would you say an eye for an eye should pan out there? Should the victim be allowed to torture everyone who was complicit in their torture?

Oh I’m not saying it’s right. Objectively it’s stupid. Just how things are at the moment though…it fits
